What’s up guys and gals, I’m Kage848. I love to make videos for KZfaq, mostly early access survival games like 7 Days to Die, Empyrion, Raft, Mist Survival, The Forest, and more! I also dabble in City Builders and strategy games like Civilization 5, Civilization 6, Dawn of Man, Stonehearth, Factorio and Rim World. Something I've started doing: Instead of sweating over Fibers...I just grab all the thatch around the shore and break it down. Though I do think after a 2nd and 3rd play through, I'm gonna wait till full release to go again. I don't wanna burn out on JUST the demo. Also - the "Water stones" are where you build your Well - so yes they do refill over time. One final note. There is a "Level Ground" option in the build menu and it is really handy! (Just use it BEFORE you drop a blueprint)

You can also break down bark into fiber.

Yes the level ground option is great. Lets your clear out all those pesky weeds and bushes you cant remove normally and helps with placing a lot of buildings. I actually used this system to play around with the building and managed to make a 3 tier high area where i could set up walls around the mound then placed other buiildings. Basically had a nice little defensive compound that inside another walled compound. Can really do some nice tricks with that leveling ground system. - In terms of Kage's wondering if you can raise ground. leveling the ground is like Valheim and is based on the ground level you start with which is why you can make tiered levels.

Kage, when building press Q to pin the recipe, its really handy for keeping track of what you need to collect. Also be careful in the skeleton area as destroying something in particular ends the demo. I couldn't get that road tool to work either :). Lastly from my own experience, try to summon people as often as possible!

One suggestion I have is to build further in close to trees,it will drastically cut the time of hauling. Also, collect more jotun blood while waiting for the 10 minutes for each new person. I had 7 ppl by day 3. Super helpful, 14 days isn't really an issue with food from what I could notice in my play through. Anyway love the videos.

Only use for Thatch other than using it for fibers is to make extra beds you can make a 2 person home into a 6 by adding 4 extra beds

Food and reeds do seem to respawn - noticed that if I head up the beach one way for a couple days, the mussels and reeds up the beach the other direction do seem to reappear. Either that or I'm really bad at clearing resources. :) Sleeping is for healing - though it's slow and you can just eat garlic and onion to heal. Start at the top of a hill or slope and you can "raise" the ground of the lower slope, making a cliffside around 3/4 of your village, fencing off just the upslope side. Builders will level the ground for you if you mark it out for them. Look under tool making to mark out paths and leveling projects for your builders.

You get a rested bonus if you lay down and let the diamond icon fill completely. It doesn't pass time though.

When Building just pin the recipes. Its so much easier to track. Also, multiple recipes/ buildings can be tracked.

You have a Terra form tool that you can use instead of just guessing were to hit the grass, it work on a grid system where it creates a "field "{that has green squares that you hoe to flatten and remove grass . It work like the field creator in MD🙂 Its in the first slot in your tool menu

does your screen go black after about 15 min of play? mine goes black but i can do anything in game i just cant see anything. it last for a min then everything comes clear then hr later screen goes black again.

Tried the demo for the first time yesterday .. started playing and after a while I watched the time .. oh 10h15 I'm good ..then 10min later I watched again and it was 1AM .. I'm so skrewed once this game comes out. Also .. did you just harvest fibers from barks directly in your inventory ? I find it tedious to drop them on the ground and dismantle them one by one. At least after a while your gatherer brings more to you.

Okay so to answer this question eventually you get to build a crafter 's area and in the Crafters area you can put bark and you can turn it into fiber that way or have somebody else do it

Also you can also start the farm up. Aunt grow fiber or flax is what the plant name for it is called

I was just wondering if you're going to be playing this game anymore because I'm pretty sure the demo thing's over now. They got a little bit more. If not the full release maybe yet? I have it and the winter is extremely hard right now for me. I've had to restart my game three times already Also though The place where you get the iron Bloom or whatever the game calls it. The bloom thing you have to find the mine. It's like a big rock and then the way that I've really been able to find it is it's got like an indent and in front of where the entrance goes to where it looks like the ground is pushed down like somewhere you can put like a fire pit at which is what I initially did. I was like oh this is going to be a good place for a fire pit and then when I got closer to it it actually tells you that there's like an unexplored cave and that'll turn into a mine once you get further along in the game and you can unlock building the entrance to the cave mine thing I hope you're planned on making more gameplay this though cuz it was actually really fun watching you play it

Played the demo twice and stopped every time after running around for 10minutes trying to find 1 stone. Supposed to use stones to upgrade the basic fire but fukme if you can find 1 stone lying around.

You can set their schedule. Sleep during the day and work at night for people with night buffs

The timer makes no sense when there are restrictions in the game. It is kind of dumb.

sooo, those work building are WAY too close to the starting huts, it's only a demo and so dosen't really matter too much but having production building close to living quarters lowers morale drastically. "kage848" I'll just put this stone pit at the "BACK" and places it at the front near the water, miles away from any actual harvestable stone. The thatch has only 2 uses in the Demo, making fibre and making thatch beds in the cottages. a single cottage can actually house upto 6 villagers if you forgoe things like furniture
