You should look into rivnuts it's the same concept as a rivet but it uses a special clamp gun to place a nut with threads can be used with fiberglass or sheet metal but acts as a reuseable fastener so for body panels or custom brackets or alot of things it can be so much nicer than oem plastic clips. And my advice would be to get into welding if you are interested in it! Not only will it save you money and time when you can fabricate something for yourself rather than wait for someone else but not enough young people are learning the trade and it's only going to be more valuable as time goes on.
