Today is day 10 of our campaign to send 100 at-risk kids to camp and reason #10 for why we need your help supporting a student so that they can come to camp is because your gift has eternal impact!
Our Operations Director, Cody Bray, shares why this particular reason hits home for him.
“Out of all the things that I get to do here at Pondo, one of my favorite things hearing the stories of staffers who previously came as campers and to hear how God changed their life while they were here at Pondo. Now they’re so excited to come back and to invest in the next generation and to see more and more students come to know Jesus and have their lives transformed as well.
And secondly, this is my story. 16 Years ago I gave my life to Jesus at a summer camp and it’s amazing to think about God’s grace in how I now get to work with my family and my friends here at Pondo to create a Unique Space for students to encounter Jesus just like I did when I was their age.
When you give, when you partner with us, when you make a way for a kid to come to camp, you are investing in the kingdom. We’re talking about lives being changed that may potentially go on to lead hundreds and thousands of more people to Jesus. What an investment. What an opportunity.”
Cody is right, WHAT an opportunity and investment, indeed! We might be on our last day, but it’s not too late to jump in and help sponsor an at-risk camper to help pave the way for them to come to Summer Camp, 2024 all expenses paid!
