Those old houses are fantastic, but all I can think about is the heating cost. It has got to be terrible, especially in the north.

@@5StackHikes My sister used to live in a three season cabin in New Hampshire, it was amazing how warm the place stayed with the wood burning stove.

Curious if you replaced all your drinking system after the giardia episode, since it's likely one of your water bottles or parts of the filtration system are contaminated?

I brought a new filter & bag a few days ago when I returned to the trail (I think I had the bug before I left). I now have a new bottle & can sterilize my spare container.
