Blitzing out moves in the opening can be a good or a bad thing. And what about blitzing out moves in the endgame?

4:22 I think a bit of a better move was Nd5 attacking Black's backwards c7 pawn. Nd5 is not only a defensive move but also an attacking move compared to Ne2 which is passive (White's Rook on e1 is also rendered passive as well) and only serves as a defensive move only. If Black tries to kick your Bishop with b5, that can be met with Bd3 (with a positional threat to take on g6 and landing Black with doubled isolated pawns).

I just started learning chess. Can you give me any tips to getting better? I feel like I’m never going to progress and can’t checkmate anyone lol

Step 1: play games against the lowest rated bots until you fully internalise how the pieces move and dont have to put conscious thought into that anymore. Step 2: watch alot of youtube content on chess in your free time made by good players, so you begin to get a sense of what makes a move good or bad. Also using lichess for puzzles is very helpful

Just start playing against humans. I recommend 5+0 games. Play as many as possible and start to get faster and build natural habits. Develop your pieces.
