We did a quick GPS with our Steps count video, it takes over a minute and it'll show up on your Fitbit App.

I think they meant the android equivalent of do not disturb so as long as it works on iPhone silent mode then I’m happy

@@woofwoofnjupppppp823 - Right. The "mute" function he chose is like a "Do not disturb". If you instead change your notification/ringer to "silent", then you should get notification on your watch.

I believe you need to be napping for about 40/45 minutes for it to register.

@@AsianGeekSquad the only thing I am having a issue with is pandora. I pay for the premium package. An it gives me 2 choices of my favorites or pick from thier line of fit songs. Which I didn't mind since the other option wasn't working. I have tried to sync it 4 times now and it gets half way there and says it's been paused. Mind you my battery was plugged in to watch and phone.

I read somewhere that fitbit going to discontinuing that feature .

You can pick up the phone call from the watch, but you cannot talk on the watch (like the Watch Active 2). If you have Bluetooth earpiece connected to the phone, if you accept the call, then the phone will pick up the call and you can chat via Bluetooth earpiece. Hopefully this makes sense (get it? nm, wrong gadget)... I'm planning to do a separate video with the different chat apps, etc.

🤔 It should be able to because its android 7.0 or higher... Try... Settings > Apps > Fitbit > Permissions Check notifications is on.. 🤙

Please make sure your Fitbit gets sync every 10 mins to check you need to check in Fitbit app. If it's not getting sync try your network

Make sure your account is set up! Go to the app, choose Versa 3, scroll down to notifications, then make sure you have the items selected that you want to come to your watch.

Make sure you select the texting app that you use by selecting text messages & choosing the correct app.

@@KetaBoo... can you help? I just got versa 3 and messages doesn’t even show up as an option in notifications so I can’t reply to texts that come through on my device

@@dimpzperz9169 I actually figured this out! If you have android, make sure you are using android 8.0 software or higher (The most recent version is android 10.0). After that, you should be able to receive calls on your watch after you have set that option up within the fitbit app. After that is completed, if you are trying to text from your watch, you have to go to that feature in the fitbit app and choose which texting app you would wish to use. Most phones will use the default text message option but if you do not have a popular phone (Like me), you will need to download an app called MySMS and make that app your default texting app within your phone and then go into the fitbit app to chose MySMS as your texting app! It works perfectly fine for me and I'm allowed to use both texting and calling all through my watch!

I can't verify, I think I had the AOD on the entire time I was using the review unit, but notifications should work independently of AOD, so I would say yes - it probably does.

I've taken this watch to the beach. Lol I go to the beach every week so all of the watches reviewed has endured salt water... just rinse it off after. 🤙🏽

My exact thoughts..one of the reasons I went to versa 3. I seriously am thinking about going with something different..my next future phone maybe an iPhone n get apple watch. I haven't beard anything good with fitness n the galaxy watch. Seems like they all have flaws bc they say galaxy isn't very accurate on steps. Ugh

There is an option in the Fitbit app to enable notifications when your phone is in silent mode.

My phone is on silent 100% of the time, and I still get messages and phone calls on my Versa 2. Why would they take this away for the Versa 3?

So can I get calls and texts if I keep it in vibrate?

There is a setting in the app that you can get the notification when your phone is on vibrate. The reviewer didn't mention that.

I'm sure next iteration this watch will have a lot of things Google. =)
