On Day 2 in Harsil, we decided to visit Gangotri Dham, Trek to Wooden Bridge in Gartang Gali and also visit Winter Temple of Ganga-ji in Mukawa Village which is very close to Harsil.
Started day with a visit to Gangotri. Though Temple was closed but we went and saw Temple. Later went near river and spent time in beautiful surrounding.
After temple visit, we treked to Gartang Gali to see wooden bridge which has a very rich history. Trek is easy and very scenic.
Next destination was Mukawa village which is winter resting place of Ganga-ji. Visited temple and had 'Dharsan' of Ganga-ji there.
In evening visited Bagori village. It's lean time so most of villagers were not in village, houses locked and people moved to some place near Dunda, Uttarkashi. Villagers will come back at end of April month for Apple farming. We also went down a path which is start point of Bagori - Chitkul trek.
