I too am super cautious when I go anywhere, I have the door opener also - and after I use it, it gets sanitized before it touches my purse. :D I've always been this way during cold & flu season, wiping down shopping carts, etc, and even if my elbow pushes a button I sanitize that elbow. I am highly susceptible to colds which has caused tons of sinus problems over the years, so I started these types of precautions years ago. It's normal living for me this time of year, haha! I hear ya with the "do I get it or not right now". Half of us here have had both doses already, the other half of us have had none. I could probably get Jason on a list now, as he does have asthma, but it's not bad and it's only induced by his horrible seasonal allergies. Being trapped in the house last spring was a blessing for him, as his late March-late May misery did not happen and he didn't need his inhaler once. I couldn't open any windows in the house, but for the first time Jason took his spring mid-terms & finals with a clear brain and feeling good. But for him, it comes back to what you mentioned - he never leaves the house. He even stopped hanging out with his best friend as he has a baby on the way so they are taking extra precautions there. So even though he could get it, there are so many people out there that need it more than he does, to take an appointment for him that someone else could use...just not going to do that. Maybe in a couple months. I'm at the bottom of the list so who knows when they will get to me. If he was leaving the house for work, that would be different. But he's not. So why rush him into it? Based on all my friends who have had both doses, Moderna seems to cause more of a reaction after the second dose than Pfizer, and it seems to be more in the younger people than older. P.S. How did I get so old that my kid's friends are becoming parents already!!!!!
