Woke up to a crisp morning to do one last pass of the Sierra section. Carson Pass was beautiful! Town day in South Lake Tahoe, a buffet and a campground and coffee! Mile 10.74.4-1093 (19 miles total) Venmo: Nic-Green-2

That is so frustrating when you are so tired and people are being so loud! On the positive note you are a hiking machine!

Yay, you got a scooter! Kinda strange to bring a TV when camping. Guess they didn't want to experience camping, they were just saving $$ on a hotel room?

On your sneak view of lake tahoe is the airport runway. It was used in the crash scene of top gun maverick.

Yeah, thru-hiker habits and urban car camper expectations are bound to have different expressions. Like you, I learned this during a late evening camp next to a motor home blasting their TV at midnight.

It is too bad your camping in town experience was bad. I hope it got better after you moved. You were so fast today!

At 1:37 it kinda looks like a rainbow color spectrum. Infra red at the bottom, orange, yellow, very faint green in the middle , blue, indigo and purple toward the sky.
@memathews5 күн бұрын
That's because it is the spectrum, you described it perfectly. The rainbow spectrum is caused by the thickness of the atmosphere at different angles and the scattering of wavelengths of light through those thicknesses. The blue light is scattered first because its higher frequency easily disrupted, while the lower frequency red colors are the last to scatter right near the horizon. The deep indigo/violet corporate are an effect of the atmosphere at elevation compared to what you might see at the ocean. Whether you ascribe this effect to a creator or as basic physics, it's marvelous! I really enjoy Boujee's observations and musings along the trail, they are fun and full of wonder.

The rudness and entitlement of people blows my mind. No manners. I'm sorry that happened.

I think you went to church in the Tehachapi mountains. That was a few miles ago. You should be eating Adam’s peanut butter. Some other ones add sugar and hydrogenate it

Never heard of Adam’s peanut butter! Will have to look into this!

That sucks that those people think camping is tailgaiting and no one enforced any rules. A hotel could have been better but you could have noisy neighbors too. Hope the zero was better.

Sounds like this starts your transition to “noise “.
