This video demonstrates how to create a VPC that you can use for servers in a production environment. To improve resiliency, you deploy the servers in two Availability Zones, by using an Auto Scaling group and an Application Load Balancer. For additional security, you deploy the servers in private subnets. The servers receive requests through the load balancer. The servers can connect to the internet by using a NAT gateway. To improve resiliency, you deploy the NAT gateway in both Availability Zones.

Who ever was not able to SSH to there Bastion host --- while creating the bastion host when we select the VPC from default to our newly created one, just below that you need to select the Subnet type, its by defualt selecting private subnet, so select the public subnet and launch the instance. it will resolve your issue.

That's awesome. Initially the 2nd EC2 instance was unhealthy since initially there was no application running on port 8000 and after few automatic consecutive health checks the instance came back with healthy status. with different "index.html" on both EC2 instances, I can see different outputs on the UI. thank you

perfectly done and completed the assignment too by deploying the sample app in another subnet. I am so happy I stumbled to this channel, I am so happy doing these projects and seeing the results i want. I deployed two separate apps in the two instances and was able to access both instances from the internet using Loadbalancer. Thank you so much sir. No paid training will explain this the way you do. Fantastic Abhishek, I just want to caution people if you are using free tier and you want to implement this project u will be charged !!!!!!! For : 1.Ubuntu based EC2 instances(only linux & windows are free) 2.Recently aws has started charging for public IPv4 address 3.NAT Gateway $0.045 /Hour Please keep these things in mind before you start implementing this project !! All the Best !!

Hi Abhishek, The tutorial was good, but it would have been great if you could have shown us how to destroy this infrastructure (the VPC). NAT gateways and elastic IPs are the ones that, if forgotten to delete, will cost money. It would be great if you took the below things into consideration. 1) Let us know if it will cost us before we begin hands-on so that we can destroy it after hands-on only. 2) Additionally, if you can, provide a video on AWS billing so that we can keep track of our invoices.

if you delete vpc, you couldnt able to delete because it will show you the error in elastic ip and in Nat gateway. once we release elastic IP and delete nat gateway then you will be able to delete VPC. Today, i have done it.

In putty the application status is shown as running, but when i try to access it in browser, the page keeps on loading, what could be the reason for this ? Where should i check the error now? That means that you load balancer is not reachable .. try to see if you have added port 80 to load balancers security group

hi, ameenurrehman you can restart the python server on one of your private subnet. change the health check monitoring setting by setting the timeout to 15 sec and reload the website it will show you html page once and 502 again and vice versa.

Hi @Abhishek, you have mentioned that depending on the request, the number of ec2 instance would increase or decrease based on the auto scaling group. But, we are also selecting the ec2 instances on the ALB (only 2 incase of this video). so, during auto scaling, how does the ALB know if the ec2 instances are added and distribute the load to them. One small thing in this video when creating bastion Host when selecting network setting changes by selecting created VPS change the subnet to public 1 or 2 by default it is selecting private. if you try to create bastion in private subnet it will not allow you to connect through ssh even you allow ssh to it(creating security group).

We can login to private hosts from bastion host with out copying pem file to bastion host. If you copy pem file to bastion host it is security breach as if attacker can access to bastion host since it has public ip and with pem file in bastion he can access to private hosts as well

Abhishek bro, i have configured sample http application on both the AZ instances and when am trying to hit the IP, i could see response from only 1 instance. connected to both the instances from bastion host from 2 different terminals. Both the instances are healthy.

Hello Abhishek, I'd like to share my recent experience. When I attempted to create a bastion host machine, as you suggested, I selected an existing VPC. However, when I tried to copy the private key, it wasn't working. Upon further investigation, I discovered that sometimes, when selecting an existing VPC, the system automatically selects a private subnet. This led to the error I encountered when attempting to access the bastion host. For beginners like myself, this could be a common issue. hello sir everything is perfect. easy and simple understanding. kindly also specify which AWS charges on which services. and how to stop these services. like aws charge for ec2 but in this project we used auto scale group. but when we stop ec2 the auto scale group automatically runs again. also aws charges for nat gateway also etc etc. sir u may get it my point what I am trying to say
