Day 7 of FlyLady's Holiday Clean Up Missions
Today's mission is about taking down the tree and putting the decorations away. I know it sounds repetitive, but FlyLady knows what she'a talking about. Getting things done a little at a time is best. We didn't stress out while Cruising Through the Holidays. And FlyLady doesn't want us to stress over cleaning up afterwards. Take this time to reflect on the memories you created as you're pitting those decorations away. Let's keep forging ahead toward a cleaner and healthier home for the new year. 🎊
The best and, unfortunately, last holiday season I shared with my mom was when I went on this cruise. I was the most prepared for the holidays I had been in years. And best of all, I wasn't stressed out at all, even when unexpected changes crept up at the last minute.
My home went from CHAOS to organized in a few weeks, thanks to FlyLady's system.

Thank you for the reminder about not getting it all done in one day . I have adhd and anxiety . I just found you the other day, and that same day you lit a fire in me. I have been very sick most of December and into the new year . I had the covid flu at the same time and now still getting over bronchial pneumonia as the side effect and still have a nasty cough. I am not going to allow that to stop from doing even just a tiny bit when I can . Because of you , I started my pantry clean out and organizing. I am disgusted with myself. I had so much outdated food. This is the first time in my life I have wasted food on this scale. It was because of stacking up because of covid lockdown. Then depression hit, and then this horrible out of control household.... thank you for being you and helping me. Hugs from East Tennessee ❤

I am so sorry you've been ill with Covid through the holidays. I do hope you get to feeling better. I'm glad that it's not stopping you from achieving your goals of organizing and getting your house in order. Rest when you need to. It warms my heart to know I had a small part in the positive changes you are making in your own life. 😊 I understand living with anxiety and depression. I've had bouts of that myself over the years. Let's encourage each other and make 2024 a fabulous and healthier year for ourselves and our homes. Bless you. ❤️

When it came time for me to undecorate I was super focused and determined to just get it done! It was hard work but man did it feel good to get that task behind me! I did declutter unused stuff prior to Christmas and that freed up space in my storage room. To each his/her own. Looking forward to your next post! Take care! -❤ from Martinsville, VA
