The recent actions of the UDA members of Parliament have left many Kenyans feeling bewildered and betrayed. They overwhelmingly voted in favor of a bill, only to applaud ironically when the president declined to assent to it. This behavior can only be seen as a mockery to Kenyan voters, raising questions about the integrity and commitment of their elected representatives. It highlights a concerning disconnect between MPs and the electorate, undermining the trust placed in them by the people they serve.

Government expenditure should be reduced to a minimum 4. We need to see how the allocated funds have been spent if mtu amekula we go after their money
@hajiadmani20322 күн бұрын
The very many MPs and senators that we have gobble up a huge amount as a pay package. It's the unrealistically high remuneration package that attracts many to vie for these positions, in the process we get the greedy ones in the august houses who think that's the cash cow and hence the result we now have. The remuneration package should be at best a 3rd of the current package. Perhaps thus we will get the genuinely honest people to serve us in the august houses.

DP about MPs: "They did what is right in terms of our political formation, allow them to be, allow them to support their government because that is why they were elected" ... we indeed elected them depending on our political conviction, but did we elect them because we want them to support the government or to support and represent us in the government ... A tiktoker says: " the big error of our parent is to take us to school " because now we can speak and understand the meaning of words, we can calculate, we can analyze situations ... I also learn the LAW OF LARGE NUMBER and basic definition is " small small contribution from a large number is big ", it's why a small group of gen Z around each constituency out to make this huge number of protest... I want to also say we have the power to solve our own issues with this number, imagine we are approximately 10 million: 10 million * 100 ksh = 1 billion ... in the US a modern hospital of 532 beds fully equipped costs 10 billion, so we can have around 50 beds fully equipped in Kenya with 1 billion ... and we can increase that number if we want ... and we have 47 counties, I believe 400 ksh * 10 million * 12 months = 48 billion, we will have 48 big hospitals fully equipped even with different specialty across the country, that will employ the same Dr, nurse, etc from those Gen Z within one year, during the construction also of course, the architect, engineer, and construction help, will be gen z ... with the same analogy, we can build industries and so many other things that can change things in lines ... if the pads or diapers made in Kenya cost around 100 Ksh or less will people buy those from China? if we have big farms that can produce a total of 57 million eggs with consumption of egg per person per day at a low price did Ugandans bring their eggs here? or we build our own universities where fees are low and depend on the agenda of each university, and we spend money on research, development, and innovation ... What am trying to highlight here is my personal opinion and idea, and I am sure as Gen Z, we are power, we have power, we are intelligent, innovative, strong

Still feels no one is mentining anything to do with the biggest elephant in the room. Unsustainable debts, Environmental collapse, heavy reliance on imports and lack of public trust, plus the materialism that is eating into the human psyche. Removing the leaders won't change anything, you need pragmatic people, not political theory. The Govt is bloated and can't even sustain the salaries, and this was a consequence of the 2007/8. Kenya is still a small country, you don't need 47 counties, and yes there is a lot of corruption, but why? To be voted for you need money and a lot of it, you are needed in Harambees etc. This culture of IOU is parasitic , favor for a favor, that's why the president is surrounded by psychophants. Elections are super expensive, etc. democracy is costly, but what affects people is whether they are able to obtain basic needs, like food etc. Kenya isn't self sufficient, It can't sustain population growth, and much of the arable land has been subdivided so much and buildings upon buildings affecting the only source of clean water and food. You can never achieve zero corruption, to go to a restaurant you are expected to tip etc. Maybe the ruling class can do a better Job, but everyone needs to wake up to the real issues. Power Vacuum will only create chaos, Churches need to function as churches, not places where all kinds of business is taking place. Schools need to be schools, students as students and teachers as teachers. There are no shortcuts to prosperity....
