Loved the energy and easy to understand. I just found a baby day gecko at my work place cold with ac so I rescued him to be my new pet. I usually take care of fish and bugs but never a gecko before so this video was huge help. Thx! And keep it up!

bro thats a great guide! im so glad you spoke about the floppy tail syndrome, i had no idea it could happen and of the importance of the set up! and the comedy is just right and not cringy :)

I’ve been owning phelsuma grandma for 10 years and getting a female more on Saturday. Really enjoyed this video although I didn’t get any knew information. You covered it really well though

Great vid and you covered all the important stuff! I have Ackies, Cresty's and a part-time Day breeder; Days are amazing and awesome geckos and too damn cute especially when babies. They are fun as hell to watch hunt and when they are not watching me in the Reptile room, I'm watching them, As for your question, no your not cringy... yet. 🤣 Keep the good vids coming!

I fell in love with a neon day gecko when I visited my local reptile store. This video is helping me make my decision. Do you think they are good beginner geckos? I have a cockatiel and many plants and have experience with terrariums, but have just now been interested in reptiles… particularly geckos haha.

I just got a Crimson Day Gecko at my local pet smart and I love him. They aren't the best at handling but are amazing to look at. I got mine young and would recommend the same just so they can get used to you and get to know you. They do require daily misting only 3-4 a day but if you get good bedding it will help keep the humidity up. If your looking for a more social gecko try a leopard gecko or a crested gecko as they are easier and more willing to be handled. For beginners their not to hard of maintenance just not as hands on as other geckos. Hope this helped.

@Lauren I have a madagascan giant day gecko and I can definitely recommend it. She's very curious, always watching me and everything that's going around! I don't handle her but she does allow me to softly touch/guide her back inside when she's about to escape when I clean/water the enclosure. She's always there by my hand when I'm doing something in the enclosure. They're easy to keep but you need to stay on top of your routine keeping everything clean/feeding/misting. I spend about 15mins a day (cleaning the glass/clearing poo/changing drinking water/feeding) plus an extra weekly half an hour when I trim/water plants. It's fairly easy, and definitely fun!

Do you have any advice for a new breeder? I’m struggling to find information and I do have a male and female but they are separated I raised both from hatchlings they are from different breeders. But one confirmed female (she’s laying) and one confirmed male. I’d love to breed them but I don’t know where to start

I got the starter kit and the gecko but the tank is only 10gallons is that bad???

I have a crimson giant day gecko and was wondering do I need a night light? Like a light to have on a night or just turn my normal heat and uv light off and he'll be fine?

Hi! I’m from hawaii and we have day geckos everyyyyywhere, I love being around them so much. I don’t think I want to have one in captivity but always find myself wanting to feed and talk to the wild ones. Would it be weird to buy some Pangea and use it as a treat for the ones I see?

No it wouldn't. Day geckos are actually invasive in Hawaii, so it's perfectly fine to keep them in captivity. The less of them in the wild there the better.

Hey man if you do not mind answering a question I think you would know the answer to. I have a really nice full spectrum panel grow light I was using for herbs, would that provide enough uvb for a day gecko? Why if yes why not if no,,, if you do not mind. I appreciate you

Great vid but u say give uvb but u don’t have uvb on your babies and only calcium is not gonna help they need to synthesize that d3

Its true. Im working on a new caging idea for them to be able to utilize uvb. Just need to tweak some things in the room first.
