There's no such thing as born Muslims in Islam. We all have the choice and it's not that we don't understand or appreciate Islam. I don't even think that's a fair comparison because we have the perspective of being born into Muslim families AND having our moment when we "FIND" real Islam. In addition, I'm born Muslim but I currently am the only Muslim in the house I live in (May Allah swt guide my family). So, to an extent, we don't have it much easier in a lot of cases. There's no US and THEM in Islam. We all have different tests and are judged based on what's in our hearts not our circumstance.
