Shoot BSOD at my job is typically a dreaded drive failure 😳
@markarca63602 жыл бұрын
That is a BSOD, which means pressing F8 while the system starts and selecting "Last Known Good Configuration" option.

RAM, it's always the RAM. Although if anyone is ever having a lot of RAM issues, a few things to check before replacing, clean out the DIMM slot and reseat the CPU, and check for burnt and bent pins. I chased a memory problem around for months before realizing the memory controller had to be faulty and sure enough I had a bent pin on the CPU.

Its the replacement that has a bigger service fee....compared to just cleaning.

if this is what they are teaching, skip the school. XP is obsolete, and blue screen is almost never fixed by replacing hardware. No troubleshooting... no event logs??

Look into IT technician jobs. Its generally more hands-on. Of course, it also depends a lot on your specific job. Sometimes its a mix of helpdesk and in-person support.

Can i become IT technician without skills, knowledge?
@trayjobe69954 жыл бұрын
honestly, you would be very lucky to do that. Especially for requirements some it jobs are asking for. I am begin my first year of college in August in Computer Network Technology. I also talked to some people that already have a job in my career. Besides that some jobs are even requiring 5 years or more of experience. That is the best part about IT, Its alot more about experience and certifications that education.
@scottf15923 жыл бұрын
I did because my dad was a health care administrator for a large company. Could I land an interview without any previous experience? I very highly doubt it. Just like most jobs, it's who you know.

it depends on your location, certifications, and experience. Some technicians can get up to $70k a year it all just depends and those that get paid that probably have ALOT of experience.
@trayjobe69954 жыл бұрын

That’s the problem with IT 60% not very well educated not very well trained generally they’re a waste of space some are not of course some are excellent but that’s few and far between they make it up as they go along unless you get up to admin level then that’s a bit different more backend service stuff
