yes! i feel you. I usually stayed in the hotel the whole time for conferences, etc. and didn't even get to explore outside/ the destination. But I do miss work travels now, as I'm not in corporate/ don't have to travel for work anymore haha. ironic. AT the time it was stressful..

I have higher status at Hilton but I stay at Marriott hotels too! And preferred airline is definitely Delta. Gonna be so sad when I lose my status next year because of the lack of traveling last year 😂

That was through my co-worker’s credit card (I was his guest)! I only get lounge access if I’m upgraded to first class!

Before the pandemic, many consulting firms had their people travel on a weekly basis (Monday to Thursday/Friday) to the client site of the project they would be working on. However, some consultants would be regional/local based and not really travel. I didn’t travel every single week but would travel for specific milestones in the project (with anywhere from 3-8 projects at a time, so sometimes i would travel multiple times a week but for different clients). It all depends! With the pandemic, there is not much travel at all, minus some exceptions as people start to get vaccinated etc. But it’ll depend on the client and if they want to pay for / invest in travel in the future

I moved to NY during the pandemic so I haven't really known anything different while living here! My consistency has gone down which is sort of a result of the pandemic (just difficult to balance my workload and lifestyle now that i'm fully remote) but not really directly

i don't have a desktop computer - just my thinkpad that's provided by work! and then i have a keyboard, mouse, and 20-something inch monitor as a second screen (with a monitor stand and laptop stand to keep things at eye level). Brand of the monitor is AOC? but i don't know anything about it (my husband bought it for me lol).

Almost always with a project partner/team! In this case, there were 4 of us for a meeting with 12-15 on the client side. But we split up responsibilities when facilitating.

Depends on what type of consulting you want to do and what experience you have. Accounting isn’t necessarily the most direct path into consulting in my experience but it could work based on your work experience
