You should get an auto start for your car, that way you can have it running,defrosting/heating up your car before you walk out the house. Saves time.

I might leave next month and debating between Personnel Specialist or a Yeoman idk if you can give me a little more info on both like what they do, whats better, and why

Hey love!! So personnel specialists (PS) is more of “pay”. PS’s make sure everyone’s money is together, if anyone has a pay issue we’re the ones to come to! YN’s do Evals, Awards, & like correspondence.. Those two jobs are similar because they’re both Admin. I had to learn the difference between the two as well 😅🫶🏽 I might actually do a video on that, thank you!

Do PS live on ships or is that an only deployment thing?

Only on deployment is when you “technically” live on the ship. Other than that you can live wherever you want!

Being at a squadron, you definitely will do some correspondence which is more of a YN thing. But on a carrier you won’t do ANY YN stuff.

Hey! Honestly in my opinion, starting off it can be very overwhelming.. but the more experience and training you have will make it a piece of cake 😂 literally.

Do you yourself personally receive BAH for living off base? Or are you paying out of pocket? If you’re receiving BAH, how did you go about being able to do that without dependents/marriage?

Hey! I am recieving BAH. You can request BAH as an E4 or below if the barracks is over about 95% compacity which is very common. I'm an E-5, you're automatically entitled once you make E-5.
