OMG - Your day-to-day life looks awesome! Making the chili, off for a walk, packaging and shipping orders, making cocoa bombs ... I am tired already! I love how the dogs greet you when you walk in the house, Randy bringing in a beer for you two to enjoy, getting a good whiff of and eventually enjoying that chili and that Chess Pie looks so, so good and yummy! You have given us an insight into your day activities but also the behind the scenes in preparing the vlogmas. I love the way you think. I also use spreadsheets to manage those tasks that have multiple components to it ... my travel mates make fun of me when I share with them, but they stop laughing when I am on target and/or my preparation comes to the rescue and it has saved us from a crisis. But it's a great tool that can be used in so many different ways. Great video Renee!

That chess pie looks a lot like an old Indiana favorite Hoosier sugar cream pie...YUM! I live in Wisconsin but was born and raised in Indiana. I loved seeing Pollux all snuggled up on the sofa...so sweet! We are about 20 degrees colder than you folks. My brother-in-law lives in Scottsville just east of you and I always enjoyed the temperature difference when visiting. I could almost feel that cool, fresh 60 degree air on your walk. It's a week later (of course) and we here in Wisconsin are hitting a high of 24 today...brrrrrr! I always hate that time of year when the heavy winter coats emerge...Lol! Although I have to say I've acclimated and at 60 degrees I'd be wearing shorts. In fact my husband has yet to put on long pants...YIKES! Lol! Happy Vlogmas Day 8!

I am from Cincinnati and we always had Chess Pie at the holidays too. Originally from England. I think your cocoa bombs are so creative and perfectly presented. Also being from Cincinnati, we love Skyline Chili and Gold Star Chili "3, 4 or 5 way"...spaghetti, chili, beans, onions, cheese and oyster crackers. When we make it at home, we do the same. We buy the pre-mixed spice mixture in a packet sold at Krogers.

That chili looks so yummy! I’ve only ever made it with beans in it (that’s how my hubby likes it), but I am thinking this would be a good way to try it without. Love the pasta add-in too, oh my 🥰 yep, I’ve convinced myself now, I am going to make it!

Oh girl, you are missing out on Crock-Pot covers. The easiest clean up ever, no mess in the crockpot. And if you have leftovers you can just pour it right out of the bag into a bowl and chuck it in the frig. If you've never used them, give it a try. Best thing ever !!!

Thoroughly enjoy your "Vlogmases"!!...I guess I was surprised by the Chilli re the raw hamburger going into the crock pot...just a personal thing for me. Guess I would try to get around it by using hamburger with the least amount of fat. I have never eaten just "Chilli" but Chilli Beans so I'm wondering of adding some drained cans of Pinto or Kidney beans with a few dashes of cumin...?...sound good? ...and of course corn bread!!...the Chocolate Bombs look like fun to make!!...I never knew anything like them existed until I was gifted several for Christmas!!...can't imagine making hundreds of them though!!...thank you for sharing your home life with us!!...hugs to Maxie and Pollux!!❤

Renee, I love these Vlogmas videos! Chili cooking is an art form of cooking, certainly in the midwest, and it is made differently in various parts of the country. I grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana and my Mother always put the spaghetti in the chili just as you did she used kidney beans. In Ohio, near Cincinnati, they also put spaghetti and cocoa too in the mix! In Columbus, Ohio, where I went to college, you had to use beans as well as the other ingredients, but NO spaghetti. I have now made a hybrid of all I have learned about chili and I live in Washington, DC. I use tomatoes, ground beef, a can of black beans, and a can of red kidney beans, garlic, onion chopped, one green bell pepper chopped, and chili seasoning, hot sauce (dash), cumin, and salt with a cup of dry red wine instead of the water you used! I serve it with the same grated yellow cheddar cheese and a dollop of sour cream that you used, but alas I have dropped the spaghetti. Blow your mind!! The house smells fantastic and the chili is a big hit. I used to make it for a Merchants Christmas party when I owned a coffee and tea shop in the '90s (time flies)and it was very popular. I also love your entrepreneurial skills and ideas!! I have the same drive when I love what I do and owning a small business is very time-consuming but very fun! People love you when you feed them. It can be like a party every day! Now, I am going to start up my crock-pot and get some chili going! That beer looked perfect with it. God Bless till tomorrow!

My Mother grew up with Chess Pie, but they called it Vinegar Pie. She started making it a few years ago for Thanksgiving along with her “famous’ Pecan Pie. She passed on Valentine’s Day argue 92. This was our first Thanksgiving without her. 😢

Made the chili today. It was a big hit. Next time I need to make a double batch. Just cooked it on the stove as I didn't have time to use the slow cooker.

What kind of molds do you use. Some people say to use the silicone molds, but one lady says she uses the plastic molds that are actually clear ornaments that come apart.

I pour chili over brown rice and sometimes small elbow macaroni. Do you ever make Frito pie with your chili?

You didn't show how you made the shells and connected them.

I can't believe people were giving you a hard time over not browning the ground meat before adding it to your chili. That's the way my Mom always made it. If you want some killer chili, look for Guy Fieri's Dragon's Breath Chili on the Food Network. It is a bit labor intensive but it is awesome. I am going to try your chili for when I don't want to go all out for the Dragon's Breath 😋

You don't need to brown the ground beef for health reasons if it cooks all day. You brown it to seal in the juices and to caramelize some of the sugars for extra flavor. You break up the hamburger with the spoon or spatula while browning it, you don't brown it in a big lump! 🤭

So now I start my second and continue on learning new things in this plan. I’m on the new “Personal Points” plan and I love it! It’s like nothing I’ve ever done before. I’m a “Lifetime above goal” member from 1974. At that time, I had 10 lbs to lose, took me 6 weeks. I was 18 at the time. I started watching and was delighted as I had just sat down with brunch with a bowl of chili myself! 😂 You’ve got that Cincinnati influence going with the spaghetti. I grew up in Indiana and we had elbow macaroni (just a couple of handfuls in the pot so similar idea) and cornbread. I eat keto so no beans in my chili now and no crackers, either! But I do layer on sour cream and shredded cheese with just a few fresh chopped onions. Your cocoa bombs looked fantastic and make me want one, but that would be a pretty long drive and definitely NOT keto! 😂. Enjoying your Vlogmas very much!
