Congrats Katie….those 6 buttons are so you can pre-program your 6 favorite radio stations. When you find a station you like, push 1 of the buttons and hold it until it beeps…then that station will be programmed to that numbered button. That way you don’t have to search for a good station. Have fun, drive safe!! And Happy Anniversary your folks!!! 💐💐💐

My wife made homemade apple sauce for many years with a special tool that smashed the apples after cooking. We just froze froze ours rather than can it. Now our bodies no longer really want us doing that kind of stuff.

My dad always used crickets and worms for fishing. I love fishing in Cherokee. I don't fish much anymore. My dad passed away in April and my mom passed 16 months before him. They both so loved fishing, camping, & boating. I miss them so much. Always be thankful for your parents

I had a 2009 with navigation, sunroof, 6 disk CD player and I had it 9 years. Those are the best and I miss mine. I only had 100k on mine when I sold it last year. The only thing it didn’t have was Bluetooth. You made a great choice.

Enjoyed watching . Something about your family videos are so relaxing . The simplicity of country life , the creek , fishing , tincture making etc. makes my stressful day slow down and for a time I’m brought back to simpler days. I thank you for that. Nice car Katie, it should last you many years. In the last 2 years I’ve put 3 front ends on my wife’s car and 1 on my daughters and they still keep going. Them ladies are deer slayers. That fishing spot looks good, the last good trout fishing I’ve got to do was about 10 years ago on the reservation near the Koa campground in Cherokee. I hope to go back and do it again, not very good trout fishing here where I live. God bless.

Our last car was a Honda CRV. Had it for 19 years and it was still going well. They are well made. I am sure you will be happy with it. Drive safe even if it’s on the wrong side of the road😅😅😂xx

I'm not sure if preserved lemon works with your style of cooking, but the process is right up your alley. Preserved lemon is a staple of Moroccan cuisine, which has amazing and exotic flavors, being the last stop on the ancient spice route. I'm fascinated by all cooking traditions, there is so much to be learned. Your life is beautiful.

Katie, that's a nice car! It's so clean, inside and out. I've never seen a car so clean except a new one and the new ones usually don't stay clean for long. Corie, those tinctures so pretty in the jars! I'll be interested in hearing some follow up on and how they work. You two girls are always so busy, and you both seem to find interesting things to get into!

I have so enjoyed watching you all having a great time fishing 🎣 I miss being able to fish we would go to the lake and camp for a week to ten days I could fish all day and never get bored . Since my body has decided to turn on me I can't enjoy doing any of this anymore I sure miss it. I hope you all have a long healthy life with many many days of enjoying the outdoors ☺️ Never take your health for granted 🙏

We use a mixture of vinegar, salt, and dish soap as weed killer. It works very good and is much better for us and the environment. As far as trout fishing, I’ve always had success using a size 6 or 8 treble hook, hang it under a bobber, use canned corn and commercial salmon eggs. The pink ones. Use a small bobber they can pull down easily.

I fished a stream like that in Blairsville, GA. Caught 2 small trout. Back near Atlanta, there used to be a Rainbow Trout Ranch with ponds of different sized fish. So easy to catch on corn, but I think its not there anymore. I had a blast with my son as he always caught fish.

I had the Honda CRV 2019 and it has one of the best and most durable engines on the market. Good choice. One transmission in that car can last up to 500,000 miles. You won't need a new car for a long time.

On the 4 runner drain the transmission, if the oil doesn't have metal replace the filter and sump gasket, refill and level when warm with engine running. If it is flashing a train failure light, get it scanned, could be a solenoid or speed sensor.

First, duckies and geese make fishing twice as hard, but ten times more enjoyable. Making the tincture in a stress free manner the way it's always been done in your beautiful mountains just makes more sense to me. Plus you can then adjust it to what you have and what you need it to do at the time. And lastly, if you make the lavender one with corn liquor and then just drink the vial you will probably be asleep in no time!

Here's how i think about it: sure the Granny women did things their way, and it "sufficed" but like with anything where ways to do things better have been discovered over the years, "when we know better we do better." Those 7 words have become a motto in my life. Also keep an eye on the lid of the jar that you put the vinegar based cleaner in, vinegar will rust that metal. Put a piece of wax paper between the jar and lid to keep the vinegar off the lid.

congrats Katie! ive heard good things on the CRVs...... talking about pricing, I bought a 2017 Camry 2 years ago, and I paid $14,000 for it ( at the time, i agree, it wasnt worth the price) , but I like it, it gets me from point A to point B.

Congratulations, Katie on your new car. It is very cute! So nice to have someone you trust to buy it from. It is so important to have a dependable car for a woman and for peace of mind. Corie, I thought of you when you were squeezing the lemons. I don't have one of those "squeezers" either. But I saw on another KZfaq channel to put them in the middle of the handle of a pair of tongs. Then hold each end and squeeze. Juice comes out fine. I haven't tried it but looked like it worked well. Thanks for another great day in the life video. Enjoy them very much! ♥️♥️

I have the exact same CRV but mine is a 2011. Its even the same color. Check under the front passenger seat. Mine has an extra storage compartment down there. We only have CRV's. They are great cars.

Katie I’m not sure about Tennessee but in Florida you have to have insurance if you have a tag assigned to your vehicle. That being said, save yourself some money and turn in the tag on the truck and drop the insurance so that you’re not wasting money while it’s sitting there waiting for you to work on it. You can take your time.

Great choice on the CRV. I’ve owned Hondas all my life. When you change the transmission fluid , only use Honda fluids. Honda transmissions are very finicky with fluids.

Congratulations on the new ride Katie! Hey, if you’re going to put a new dash in that old truck, I would recommend a new heater core at the same time. They’re cheap and if you would need to replace in the near future, you would have to remove the dash to do so. Just sayin’

Re: tinctures - the only reason you would want to measure/weigh your tincture ingredients is for the sake of formula consistency. If your formula works well, it’s nice to be able to duplicate it, especially if you’re using more than one herb in the formula. BUT, there’s not a thing wrong with the simple, folk method. Just wanted to offer an explanation about WHY some folks weigh and measure so precisely. 🤗 The coolest thing is that you’re learning a useful skill!
