Someone who actually showed and talked about the job itself. Too many people think a day in the life of a medical assistant means they need to show everything other than the job. Your channel definitely deserves more attention! 👏🏼

@@user-zf4yz2iu9s I found a school that didn’t have a long waiting list and worked as an MA for awhile to get some experience in the medical field. I’m not sure how it works in other states but I had to take a test and score high enough and then I had to do an interview and they asked me why I wanted to be a sonographer and why I would be a good candidate for the program. Do your research and find out what each program is looking for and then from there you can start preparing, don’t get discouraged if it doesn’t happen on the first try a lot of people have to try a couple times before they get accepted. Relate to your first two patients! I’m here because I’m going to school to be an MA but wanna work either OB or peds but I had to do a NST because I went into preterm labor at 29w (they stopped it and so from then til I gave birth (34w) I had to do it every week) & then with my second I had to get the Makenna shot because I went into preterm labor with my first baby, I ended up opting out of the Makenna, I only got one and then did more research & decided not to because I figured my preterm labor was more so due to the fact I was malnourished rather than anything else, so I fixed that but also, mine was in my arm not butt, so that’s different I wonder why, but my second came at 40&2 after a membrane sweep without Makenna so that’s awesome 😂

Hi. This is very helpful to see what a MA in OB/GYN office does. I like to know how you clear the tray after a procedure that has sharps (needle, or/and dermablade/ scalpel). My provider added the dermablade during the procedure after the tray has been prepared and didn't get a chance to tell us. I missed it when cleaning up and should have put it in the sharps container. How do you go through all the "trash" bound material in a tray after a procedure and check for / pull out sharps . The provider did check with us after the tray has been cleaned and asked about it though. Thanks

Both MA and LPN can work at doctors’ offices, but MA’s can’t work inpatient as an LPN would. That is something I would have liked to know before getting into MA school but I love it regardless. There is an awsome ebook online that details so much, before and after school, certification, job tips, externships, dealing with staff and it has bounses included. Im currently a student and this book has been a God sent! Im ready to get out there and crush now I know what to expect. the book is on my channel so people can access it, the writer is not on youtube and I just want to help spread the work, good luck! it also teaches you how to learn about YOU and what you want out of a career that was the best part for me, and the free guided journal!
