blogilates is a really good youtube channel and the pilates instructor (Cassey) also makes a monthly calendar where she plans the workouts every day x

I completely relate with the not enjoying home workouts, I’ve instead been going on 5km runs, which hear me out 2 weeks ago I would’ve done anything to avoid it, but it’s a good half an hour workout that clears your head, I use the Nike run app to keep me going, it tells me where I’ve run, how fast I am and how long I take xx

i thought i was the only one. i just can't motivate myself to workout at home, but runs give me an excuse to get out. i think its because we're stuck at home 24/7 so were desperate to 'escape'

I suggest you to make your own circuits with exercises that you enjoy, and after a bit you can start adding one or two exercises that you find harder It really helps me

I’m doing the shreddy plan as well and I’m loving it! I’ve changed my plan to a home one instead of the gym one, so all the workouts are home friendly ❤️

im a powerlifter, so I 100% know where you are coming from with not enjoying hit or fast paced. I have found that just having a 4kg dumbbell is a life saver! the amount of core and arm workouts!!! also not high intenisty but just volume gives the best results. for example: 3 different core workouts - 45 seconds each - back to back - 1 min break after all 3 - complete 3 times. my god will you feel the burn. And the same with bum and arms. I've been doing them for the past 2 weeks and can 100% see an improvement

Even though it is a little pricey I’ve been following the Sarah’s day sweat it to shred it and I love it - plus I’m less likely to give up because I spent money on it and it’s no equipment x

5:20 I'm doing splits exercise currently, like the app name is split challenge 30 days, it really makes your muscles feel stretchy and it is really relaxing, although I had muscle soreness for the first 3 days

Absolutely agree with the home workout situation. I normally would go to the gym 3/4x a week, now I struggle to get one home workout per week in (although I do have a plan made by a trainer just for me). I just miss the space in the gym, the good equipment, the mindset, everything. It's really good for my mental health to see other people struggling with the situation in similar ways as I do.

I feel completely the same, I miss the gym and I don't enjoy home workouts because I like to be in a different space and I also don't like running. I do some research, make my own workout, using exercises I find online. Also, I do some just dance for fun and that can be a good workout!

Yoga and my 1/2 mile walk seems to work for me. I'm with you I don't like at home workouts either. I love the walking the most. And it's nice to see families couples and everyone else taking their 1/2 mile. Jump rope is good too for cardio

ive been struggling with working out too! i usually find a youtube video that i like, madfit is quite good she puts emphasis on form rather than speed. natacha oceane is really good too

I’ve been using the Shreddy home workout guide rather than the gym one, the format is different in a way I find helpful for home workout motivation. You basically start the timer and it is like doing a live workout in that it has a timer for like 30 seconds for doing the exercise then times your 5 second rest and then the next exercise starts etc, so you have to keep going as the time is going so you don’t really need much willpower compared to using the gym workouts :)

I’m such a big fan of Joe Wicks and Madfit workout videos I find they can push me enough to actually feel like I’ve done something! Also started running now which also gets some fresh air👍

Hey lydia! In quarantine, I go for a 4k run every other day and I find I really helps to strengthen my legs, for my arms and abs I try to find really intense workouts on youtube x hope this helps Edit: I find that madfit's workouts are nice and intense :)

If you fancy doing a little bit of dancing, Dianne Buswell has been doing 30 minute dance classes on her channel, from the samba to the charleston! They aren't too high impact but they are a lot of fun! The jive is an especially good cardio dance x

I'm not sure if you knew already, but on the Shreddy app you can change to the home plan instead - and it doesn't lose your progress in your gym plan!

I’m doing Sarah’s days Sweat it to Shred it e-book. It’s a good one because she has “challenge” and “activity” days where you pick your exercise. So I’m doing 5K runs, sprints up hills for cardio, yoga, & Sarah’s work outs (similar time Shreddy) 💛

I’m doing Joe Wicks the PE classes on KZfaq, has a good mix of cardio and strengthening- plus can change some of the more kiddy ones for things you like xx

Before all this happened, I used to go to this circuit training group twice a week and I was enjoying it. The trainer kept sending us home workouts to do but I felt like it was not the same as going to the actual gym. Soo I hit the internet and purchased some weights and a skipping rope to motivate me some more. I've been going on walks in the morning as well and I feel like that helped me out a lot xx Apart from that I also created a timetable where on some days I included walks as a form of exercise for the day and on other days I put down a proper workout or else yoga. I feel like its good to have some sort of variation xxx

Megan Grubbs live workouts on her instagram are savage!! She posts on her story what time they will be and she does then 6x a week! They also stay up on her instagram channel story for 24hrs xx

I know ur pain with exercising at home.. it just isn't the same:(( I'm trying to recreate one of my circuit classes at home: - lunges and calf stretches to warm up - quick run up my road / 2 min shuttle runs - chosen cardio exercise #1 for a minute, chosen leg exercise #1 for a minute, and chosen arm exercise #1 for a minute - run again - cardio #2 for a min, leg #2 for a min, arm #2 for a min - run again - repeat routine for #1 exercises - run again - repeat routine for #2 exercises - 60 reps of chosen ab exercise (3x20) - one min plank Give it a go and see what you think!! It takes roughly 45 mins depending on how long your breaks are:) hope you're doing ok in lockdown and not too stir crazy xxx

I do 10 mins warm up, 20 jump squats, 20 burpees, 20 side plank leg lifts, 1 min plank, 20 push ups, 20 arm crossovers, 20 jump lunges and for round 2 i do reps of 10 and for round 3 i do reps of 5 xx

I use the Nike Training and the Nike Run Club apps on my phone and they're really good. The Run one only tracks runs, but it has option for guidance as well. The Training one has so many workouts, at different ability levels... the ab and arms ones are so good! Both apps are free too!!!

I absolutely haaate working out at the gym and for years I found it so daunting looking for workouts online and on youtube. I even bought a 3 month subscription to a working out app I heard so much about and ended up being just wasted money. BUT. Since we've been in lockdown I discovered Pamela Reif here on youtube and she's the only one who managed to make me enjoy working out. Idk how, idk why, but it works.

im on week 4 of couch to 5k, which is definitely good for cardio! then i just do arms/ legs using resistance bands from B_nd but i agree its not the same burn i get from the gym!

I'm not much of a workout person (lol), but I've been doing yoga and then also bits of workout, mainly on my stomach and my thighs cos those are the areas I'd like to improve. Just been picking bits off the 30 day workout app! x

I recommend doing Pop pilates workouts by blogilates, they mainly consist of body weight exercises but they make you burn in places you didn't know you could burn.

hi Lydia! You can try to download a fitness app called 'keep'(yeah it's a Chinese app but I guess you could change the language into English), and it's quite good for home workouts (and runnings and other stuff)

I honestly use barely any skincare! I wash my face with just water every day, however I use makeup remover and cleanser if I've worn makeup, and occasionally use a moisturiser, but I find the less products I use the clearer my skin is! x

Try Emi Wong's workouts- I really enjoy them :) Also fitnessblender has really good ones if you want to get in some cardio- they aren't as intense as HIIT and you can do them in the garden or something

Hula hooping! Have been doing 30 mins a day in 5 min chunks, it’s SO fun &! doesn’t feel really hard but burns loads of calories & my stomach is already much flatter. Honestly I could not recommend enough buy a hula hoop! Have just been doing that, yoga and 1hr walk a day & have never been more fit! 💓
