I do mobile repair on buses, school buses and crew transports for industrial use... most are like this at work... A lot of the buses we work on are short buses. The jokes practically write themselves...

@@TekamoHD just a good quality mechanics glove. Something that can take abuse from diesel fuel and DEF fluid ,but is of breathable material . I usually wear Grease Monkey brand gloves , but they don't breathe well in the heat for areas like where I work in South Carolina. We hit at least high 90's with 100% humidity in the summer months

Couldn’t agree more on packing a lot of water out there while I’m not in Canada, I spend every one of my work days on a pipeline right of way in backwoods West Virginia. there’s nothing worse than being stuck on top of a ridge on a big job with a hour or more drive to anything and not having water!

Need to start doing like the pipelines do. Make you a little grill on the back of the truck. Start the coals and season the steak then work until she's ready to go. Takes 2-3min a side. Better than a granola bar any day

You'd be surprised how many are like this tbh. It's more of an issue with 1. Being comfortable on camera and your family being comfortable with that and 2. Alot of companies/properties won't let you film so guys that have reoccurring customers that they are on call for just aren't suited for the role.

I worked heavy construction, and oilfield most of my life and always said that working around women you had to be ever so careful of what was said! That is why I always preferred to work with only men!

I can’t believe he torched the link to get the pin out and welded it. Your way better off piercing the remaining parts of the pin and hammering them out that way you don’t weaken the link dramatically.

It’s a fine repair. The pin is now welded to the link making them one piece. I’ve done that repair and I’ve never had the link break after

I’d actually like a tekamoHD visor calendar, the type with “gentleman’s club material” pictures for the months….the topless type. These are a staple of every crummy, log truck, and all my personal rigs. Usually bought by the dozen to hand out to friends…I reckon you’d sell a bunch!

Question on why cut and damage the link? Why not lance the pin with the torch use a quality C frame press?

This is a common way we have done it, sometimes when splitting I won’t cut into the pin that way I can reuse it and weld it back in place. Track presses are tens of thousands of dollars and maybe only really need it twice a year when we do new undercarriages. These field repairs haven’t failed us yet, KISS.💋
