A dermatologist is a doctor who specializes in conditions involving the skin, hair, and nails. A dermatologist can identify and treat more than 3,000 conditions. These conditions include eczema, psoriasis, and skin cancer, among many others. The skin is an incredible organ👍

I’m a medical assistant for a dermatology office, the dr i work with sees about 60 pt a day and he does about 20 mohs surgeries that’s not including additional sites. Becoming a dermatologist is really a stress free field from my view and its awesome. I love it working with skin, especially mohs surgery. I’ll be going my pregrade soon and start my path to become a dermatologist. Great video!!

@@thenightdances21 You have to take a medical assistant course at a school in your area, rn because of covid many schools are offering classes online. Also, there still might be an in person clinical training though. After the class you might have to do an 140 hour externship where you shadow/train as an MA in a doctors office or hospital. Then you have to take an exam & pass to become a certified MA. there are other routes, I’ve heard of people who aren’t certified and just get trained by a healthcare facility but that’s rare as most places want certified MAs.

Questions for the dermatologists! So a year ago, my nose had a huge pimple!! My mom took me to get a cortisone shot or however you spell it. I think she put too much cortisone because it’s been a year and there’s skin colored bubbles or bumps on my nose that haven’t even went away! It looks so ugly on meee... It’s not a pimple, can’t pop it, it’s literally like a skin bump ! Just on my nose
