Join me for a day in the life of a doctor during my cardiology rotation! See the cardiac critical care unit, join the medical team for rounds, and listen to discussions about patient care. Plus you will get to see real heart ultrasounds and angiogram images of the heart blood vessels!
THANK YOU to the nurses, pharmacist and medical team for participating in the video. And a special thank you to the patients who allowed us to share their medical images - your generosity and desire to educate/help others means so much!

I had surgery on May 11. I got my absolute hot hot hot senior resident doc (who was there for surgery) to take his mask off...his dreamy eyes matched the rest of his face....I wanted to get his picture...not allowed...

Jeanette Raichel creepy. How would you feel about a male patient leering at a female physician/nurse like that? Get a grip.
@adarkertriad
@adarkertriad 4 жыл бұрын
Evelyn B It is creepy. But women don’t act that way as much as men do. Even when men are sexually harassed/assaulted, it’s usually done by other men. Also, men wouldn’t feel threatened in the same way women do. Not saying it’s okay, but this is just how it is
@kyleroberts7813
@kyleroberts7813 4 жыл бұрын
@@adarkertriad See thats whats wrong. You have no idea how an individual would react in response to that. Why can you make the assumption that a man wont be threatened the same way? And what do you mean women dont act that way as much as men? This happens all the time and because of comments like this men feel embarrassed to admit that it happened and it often goes unpunished.

Kyle Zibell I get some dudes may be intimated. A professor tried to kiss my ex and he said he was weirded out and left but he didn’t feel in no way violated or harassed... men can usually overpower a woman so they don’t feel threatened I guess?

in England there is a show called "24 hours in A&E", it is very popular and they do show patients. Of course only those who give consent. It is known as a "rig show" where they have an array of fixed cameras. They also have "walkers" who film openly. Some prospective patients are mic'd up. Best of all they do some follow ups where they interview patients and relatives at home afterwards.

Hi Siobhan! I was so glad (and relieved too) to see your latest video when it came out! I haven’t paid close attention to how often you post, so maybe not warranted, but with COVID going around, and PPE shortages, I was getting a little concerned after awhile. I’m glad you’re ok! I found you on KZfaq a few months ago, and am seriously loving it! (After hopping around a bit I went back and am watching in chronological order. Plus I *finally* figured out how to comment! Lol. 🙂) The combination of educational content with your cheerful smile and reassuring disposition never fails to brighten my day. Thank you for fitting one more thing into what I’m sure is a busy schedule! I feel like the halls of your hospital are a familiar place now, and even though I know it’s only through a screen, you’ve helped make the inner workings of healthcare seem more of a known quantity, and less of something meriting fear of the unknown. As a chronic illness patient, (thanks to Lyme disease diagnosed too late.) it’s heartening to see doctors who are passionate about what they do, and who truly care for their patients. Your “camera-side manner” for all of us is fantastic! I’m sure your bedside manner is too. 💕 Also, congrats on the Rheumatology match!!🎉 So cool you got to go where you wanted to! I have joint symptoms, so even though I’m not a rheumatology patient, I feel somewhat close to that field. (It was my next step to solve the mystery if I hadn’t been diagnosed when I was.) There’s a lot of good to be done there. Much love from the U.S.!💕 - LF

Hi Siobbhan! I was missing your videos, while in quarantine i've found myself missing days at the hospital, so watching you and your partners work really makes me feel that fuel of emotion i usually get when going to the hospital. Thank you so much for what you do, i hope you become a great rheumatologist. You're my inspiration to become a hematologist and oncologist

I just wanted to let you know that I love your videos. You have such a pure heart. I only see that in a few KZfaqrs. It's difficult to know someone from behind a screen but this channel is just different. Being a doctor really suits you.

I love this channel. She gives me a good idea of medical things, but in easier terms, and explains things in a non graphic way. Keep up the good work! I really appreciate you!

I love your videos! It is so easy as a patient to get frustrated with delays and protocols and other things relating to hospital visit inconveniences. I think this really helps to shed light on how the professional organization and hierarchy works within a hospital and why it is important.

I have so much appreciation for anyone in the medical field, but especially anyone within a cardiac unit. my dad had a double bypass in 2018 and it was the most stressful time of my life (my house burned down 3 days later 😔). he was treated at Kaiser here in CA and the entire staff was so helpful and kind. they stayed patient with me and my sister and didn't seem bothered by our millions of questions. thank you for genuinely caring about humans! stay safe 💕💕
