👋🏻 Another doctor vlog showing you all what a nuclear medicine rotation in radiology residency looks like! I go over the specialty of nuclear medicine in general and the types of studies we read. This weekend I also happened to fly to Florida for a wedding and figured I'd take you along for a brief weekend in my life. Hope this gives you a feel for what a nuclear medicine radiology rotation might look like in residency. Let me know what you think in the comments below (or if you have video ideas/requests)!

Love your vlog as someone interested in rads - is it true you transferred to ucsd in the middle of med school? Would you mind sharing the story?

So I didn’t transfer to UCSD, LECOM simply has a 3rd/4th year rotation site in San Diego

From where I can study for nuclear medicine ? Do you have a reference or simplified textbook other thank core ?

The Core Radiology chapter is good, I think Mettler’s Essentials of Nuclear Medicine Imaging is the go-to reference for nucs

Probably depends on if you do procedures as an attending (plenty of procedures in radiology) but I’d ask your doctor

What is the main difference between radiographer and nuclear medicine technologist? And is nuclear medicine technologist are doctors. Thanks for sharing
@drparisis
@drparisis 2 жыл бұрын
The main difference is that technologists are not physicians, they attend rad tech school (ie not medical school) My understanding is that radiographers work with radiographs (x rays) whereas nuc med techs work in the nuclear medicine department with radiopharmaceuticals
