This is a good owner. You can tell that she loves her dog, just as much as she loves herself by dedicating her entire day to keeping her dog cool and entertained. Much respect. 💯

I had a white German shepherd named Zeus when my oldest was little . He would answer to Zeus or Zoosk as my son called him. Probably the most protective dog I’ve ever owned .

My german shepherd has a thing for water, whenever anyone is in the pool, especially kids he barks like mad, he should be a life guard, shows how protective they are!! ❤

I absolutely love German shepherds! I am actually scared of some of them because I know they’re very protective of their owner and you cannot just walk up and start petting them! Lol! But I’ve had two German Shepherd’s during the course of my growing up and loved them so much!

I should take my 4 month old to the lake today!! He has a doggie pool that he loves & he secretly loves to get in the water that collects in a low part of our yard. He would LOVE swimming in a creek or lake! Great idea!

How old is he anyway. I acquired a German Shepherd that would be 2 1/2 years old approximately now but he’s showing a gray mustache and a gray soul patch on his chin. The poor guy‘s balls hadn’t dropped so I had to have surgery on him for that particular condition (Crypto?).People are so creepy nowadays I think the previous owners who claimed they raised him from a litter of pups and I got him at about five months old pulled a fast-one on me. He hasn’t grown a bit since then. He’s very skinny but very active (not particularly friendly either…too busy wanting to play)and looking at his ribs they are quiet visible. But I feed him the same food that my other 120 pound dog eats and still always seems hungry. I’ve had many other med/large breads of dogs and at 2 1/2 years old I’ve never seen any of them look so gaunt. Maybe I need to go back to the vet and have bloodwork. Any thoughts?

I used to live in Denver and most homes built pre 2000 had no AC. I now live in South Lake Tahoe and NO ONE has AC. It gets 90 here once in a while..

I had an apartment for two years in Salem, OR, and it had no A/C. There were three or four days where it was 112ºF. My dog was whining to get into the shower, so we took cold showers a couple of times per day. The next summer I got one of those portable room A/C units.

I usually walk 6 - 8 miles with my 9 year old shepherd. But we're having a heat emergency up here near Portland, so I cut way back. Just returned from a trip to a shady park where we got in about a mile, and that included a break on a shaded bit of cool grass. I'm jealous of your lake!

Please be careful with the heat. I used to live in San Francisco but a woman was walking her GDS in a park in Houston just laid down and couldn't get up and was panting because Texas is crazy hot and humid. Make sure to always bring water because they can not cool off like humans.
