What does a product marketing manager do all day?
Follow along for a mixed day of working from home and spending the afternoon at a photo shoot at one of the best studios in Copenhagen.
Clearly not a regular day in the life, but I tried to talk about all the usual tasks that I have to cover as a Product Marketing Manager. Such as researching, planning, stakeholder check-ins and writing a ton of documentation for my products.

I briefly mention it in the video, but I’ve studied brand design and before that commercial photography, which is the industry I am working in right now. Brand design was great to get an overview of the marketing side of things and I also spent quite a bit of time on researching and interviewing techniques which comes very handy now. As for product marketing, I actually moved into the role internally from motion design, which might sound a bit odd but was doable thanks to my education and being quite familiar with the industry. The nature of this role seems to vary greatly depending on what company you work at and the org structure, but I am very happy with what I get to do right now!

What Product marketing course would you recommend for a complete beginner (A Free one preferably🥺)

I do not know of any free courses sorry! I’ve completed the Product Marketing Alliance’s core course last year and I can highly recommend it. It’s not cheap, but if you are seriously considering pursuing this role I think it’s totally worth it. If you are still a student I think they can get you a discounted price!

@@viktor-farkas I think the day-to-day, functions specifically, tips and what it was like to enter this market. I've been working with marketing for 12 years, today I'm a Project Manager, but I love Product Marketing and I want to work in the area. I like to see everyday content about.
