This was inspiring to watch as always. After 6 months of unemployment and getting my PMP I just got my first real PM job as a Junior Marketing Project Manager. I know nothing about marketing but I'm glad they saw my potential because I think I will love it

As a former project manager, I applaud you for inspiring others to follow your path. I was a project manager which led to me becoming a program manager, over seeing 4 projects. It was a great experience.

I'm working on having that confidence. I know I'm good at what I do but I don't want to be shy in a room full. I want to feel good even if I'm the youngest in the room. I know I work hard, I am willing to learn, and I am open to taking advice.

10:21-10:54 You spoke straight facts! Having tough conversations with VPs, Sr. Directors, etc., or some may refer to them as core team members, can definitely be intimidating because they’re direct, sharp, straight to the point. To your point, being the project manager, you have to rise to the occasion! Ty for sharing this piece of information. Thank you for keeping it real!

Yes...I totally agree that you need to have confidence when talking to director's, VP's, leaders, etc. I work in corporate America and everything you said is on point. It's something I am ACTIVELY working on.

You are so professional but not surprised at all! Because your always professional. I just love any woman doing everything and still looking fly! How are you so confident. I can know everything about the subject matter but still be so nervous. Do you practice in the mirror. I love the "gentle reminders"! I've started using my calendar its helping alot.i just really appreciate all the tips you give us!! I believe I'm going 2 start doing more! Like typing training or just training on anything. I just want to be really well rounded! I appreciate you! Stay blessed and highly favored!

Hi Kristyn, Love Love this video. I am a Manager for QMS so I work on a lot of projects, lead projects and interact with senior leadership on a daily basis. I actually get a thrill off of leading projects and seeing it evolve from beginning to end. Im working on becoming a certified PM as well. Im in the Quality function for my company so manager stated this needed. I also use excel to track projects. At my previous company i just Google sheets. Now im looking at utilizing MS one note. Keep up the inspiring videos. Its very much appreciated ☺️

I just came across this video and I’m so glad I did! I am an IT Project Coordinator and just started a new job in healthcare. I’m not new to being a PM or PC been in this a long time. I'm so glad I came across your channel. This week I started a project management course in my master's program, and I am so ready for it! I've been interested in a project management career so I feel that this course will give me more insight into whether it's a good fit. I wonder if you have done any videos on the interpersonal dynamic of project management: conflict resolution, motivating team members if/when needed, etc. I came across another PM video and the speaker describes a good project manager as being able to "lead without authority". That would be a great discussion video!

Hi Kristen. What software do you use to track tasks and status updates? I use to use MS Project; however, when I moved on to a different company, and on various projects, I noticed it isn’t used across many. I’m just interested to know. Great video keep up the great work Lady ❤️💫✨⭐️

Hey! That is a great question. As of right now I use excel and gather most updates manually but the system I use has a report I can grab updates on each item. So long story short just excel for now as we don't have a software we use as an organization. Thanks for watching and let me know if you have any other questions.

Hey Kristyn! I’m also a PM but for a public org. Wondering what PM programs you use in your work? We use Google not Microsoft 😩 Also do you have experience working on projects with external vendors? Or any pointers on how to engage with negative interactions at work particularly with men? Love your vlogs💕

Hey love! We don’t have any dedicated programs that we use. I wish we did sometimes… I will say thankfully they take interactions at my company between men and women really seriously that I’ve never had any experiences that made me lift an eyebrow. I have been pretty blessed from that perspective. When I deal with projects that involve people from outside our organization it’s always been with consultants and they’ve been the ones managing the project so that made it easy for me lol as they were making the big bucks to be in charge. ❤️ wish I could help more 😭❤️❤️❤️❤️ and thank you 🙏🏾

I'm glad to have found your Channel I love you videos. One question working as an independent contractor how can I find a contract to give to my client if I decide to work as an independent contractor? I have contracts from my previous job but that was working as a virtual assistant and that job didn't go so well. Can I use the same contract or should I use something totally different. If you don't mind can you tell me what I should do to get the contract and if it is a good idea to work as an independent contractor in project management.

I buy the white chocolate from a lady who has access to the vendor Starbucks uses from eBay. I’m assuming she owns a store because it’s really not supposed to be available to everyone lol. If you search eBay you’ll see it. I use their light blend coffee and a make a shot of coffee with my Keurig. It’s four pumps of syrup and milk (I use coconut milk). Tastes exactly the same as Starbucks.
