#CRNA #SRNA #NURSEANESTHETIST
Rhianna Background:
I was a travel nurse for 2 years before starting CRNA school. I loved travel nursing so much but I also love anesthesia, so I went back to school to become a CRNA. I plan to continue my travels when I become a nurse anesthetist! Fitness is also a huge part of my life. I've competed in powerlifting and Crossfit. I own a gym and am a nutrition coach!

She makes it all look way too easy. To those that wish to become a SRNA, you need to realize the commitment is nearly the length of becoming an anesthesiologist. You need to complete a BSN, which is a 4 year undergraduate degree. Then you must work as a critical care RN for at least 2 years and become CCRN certified. Then you'll be eligible for an intense 3 year program, which most are becoming doctoral programs. Think hard before you choose any field medically related. Best of luck!
@user-kv3rz5zb5h
@user-kv3rz5zb5h 2 жыл бұрын
Anesthesiologist = 4 years undergrad + 4 years med school + 4 years residency = 12 years CRNA = 4 years BSN + 1-2 years ICU experience + 3 years CRNA school = 9 years But that’s including ICU nursing which isn’t even education. And that’s assuming that the education is of similar quality (like 1 year of nursing school or CRNA school I s roughly equivalent to 1 year med school which is crazy).

i’ve always wanted to be a registered nurse. but i’ve also wanted to really work in an operating room specifically, but i don’t think i’d have to willpower to be a surgeon (surgery doesn’t gross me out, but i myself could not handle that much school and work). so my mom suggested a nurse anesthetist! i’ve been looking more and more into it and i rlly cant wait. i still have two more years of high school, though.

@@lus8112 Good luck but CRNA is also a good bit of schooling.To become a CRNA it takes 4 years of BSN then work for 2 years as a nurse in the ICU (depends on the programme maybe it has some that take in people with less experience but most I heard got in with about 2 years experience) and then 3 years of SRNA programme.Best of luck and remember keep your science subjects with good grades...all subjects are important but having a strong science background helps you to get into an SRNA programme ❤

@kera535 5 жыл бұрын
Jesse James, you will need a BSN. I’ve mainly looked at programs in Texas so I can tell you a little about what I know from them but it would help to do your own research. In Texas you need a BSN so about 4 years then most of the programs are asking for at least one year in ICU but they prefer 2 years. After that you get into school and it takes 3 years to complete the program.

There are short cuts to get there. I'm currently getting an easy bachelors online for 1 year. Then I'll apply for BSN Second Degree Nursing which is 1 year bsn program.

Hi . I come from Vietnam. I am also a nurse anesthetist like you. Can I ask for information to contact you? Can I chat and ask you about anesthesia in your country?
