I like that the mother gets to choose the colour, in case then clan does not want to pass on clan colours. Maybe give the mother the option to give the egg the skin options if they choose.

Even after hearing about the future of skin crafting before this, I'm STILL confused, lol. I'm just going to hope it's a LOT simpler when we see it in game than how it sounds now. Adding on, I can't tell you how many thought my constellation with shimmer was a new skin, lol. I had to explain it was an effect but apparently not a lot of constellations are flying around with it on (Or who have the skin at all) so loads were/are mistaking it as something new. I can't tell if they're new players ether, or if somehow my favorite Shadow Scale skin became that rare, so people haven't seen it before. All I know for certain is I'm so going to use the newer Bio concept skin with the purple and pink hues. The second I saw it I fell in love, but then began to wonder how much would be glow and how much would look grey/black until we hit our ability key, lol. I really thought I'd love the Bio's gold more, but after trying it out (And promptly flying beneath the test map because I forgot I swapped my flight controls and wasn't used to the default for the testing server.) I realized it just didn't feel right for me... Pretty cool to see everyone else, though! Guess we'll see how everything looks and works out in the future.

I have a question since I'm still new to the game, once we spawn or nest to get a skin does is unlock in the spawn menu after dying so we can choose it again or that is only for certain skins like mela and sandworm?

Thanks for the Video, its very informative like always and i am hyped again for the big 1.0 Update. One thing with the breeding, you talked about seems not right to me on 6:34. You talk about dominant skins and rezessiv ones. It looks lieke you missunderstood something. If a gene/skin is dom or rez dont change the distribution of the genes in the outcoming eggs. Because if a inherited gene is dom or rez is only important for the expression of the gene. The probability for a egg to get the dom gene will be 50% and to get the rez gene also 50%. But the dominant gene will be the expressed one. In you example from 6:35 the grey dragon with the dom red gene wouldnt be grey because the red gene is dominant in your example. The dragon would be red and have a red dom gene and a rez grey gene. But he would give 50% of his offsprings the grey gene and 50% would get the red gene. So the picture you made to explain this problem, is not correct. The exotic skins will be inherited too. Its only a question about, if its expressed as well. Would it be rez or dom. Probably the mela skin will be dom (because dark colors normaly ar dom) and the leuc (white) one are rez. One offspring with leuc and mela genes will be black. But that dont mean the offsprings cant be white.

Can someone tell me why i spawned in as a fs skin i had never got before, nearly grew to juvi, accidently died from starvation, and then in the menu i hadn't unlocked it?? Please someone tell me if you need to grow it from adult or smth, it was really fustrating.

I wouldn't mind a system that uses color values. Instead of just straight color over color some values have a chance to be added. So the system would start with 50% on each color being dominate if two colors are dom then instead they are added by value and create new mixed color if one is dom then it is taken. Patterns can do the same with a percentage of it being common 65% uncommon 50% and rare 35% exotic 15% over 3 eggs it should be pretty fair. Then all females should add a dom mod to color while males have a dom mod to pattern. So you find a colorful lady and cool looking dude ya gonna get some groovy kids. That is just my opinion.

are they going to fix females being able to be renested as thier own offspring since only the males can upstat via thier own offspring? After finding this out about DOD for nesting purposes to be kind of absurd. As the female you would need to find two other players with either the same stats if not better than yours just to upstat. Then that ends up making the family tree kinda wonky trying to keep up with who all is related to you to prevent inbreeding.
