I'm doing flexibility stretches, fitness and I have a contemporary dancing/ flexibility class today with a dancer from BBC and TV 💃🏽🤸🏽♀️🥰. Sooooo excited!!!! 😍🥳🤩😉

Hi, I was wondering if I could get some advice... I’m in my last year of high school in the international baccalaureate program and being at dance is a huge sacrifice. I’m expected to be there 9 hours a week for rehearsals but all I do it pose in the back left corner for both the routines I’m in... I really have lost my passion for dance and my teachers don’t respect me needing to miss class both for studying and to observe religious holidays (I’m not christian/catholic but they make no effort to understand why I can’t be working on high holy days). Do you think getting my parents in the studio to try to fix up my schedule could help or should I just try to quit since I honestly hate being in the studio right now and I really don’t make a difference in the choreography I’m in.

If you hate the studio but still have a longing for dancing, I recommend finding a new studio even if it seems a bit late! If not then I’d recommend quitting if dance makes you misreable. But if you still want to continue dancing even at this studio, then definitely bring your parents in, it all depends on what you really want to do and what’s best for you!
