if you are still in paris dont forget to go at sacre coeur! its an amazing place!! i think that mona lisa is so famous because of her mysterious smile and because they say that her gaze follows you from every side you look at her..!

The mona lisa is so famous as it is one of the first paintings that display aspects of perspective :)

It's well known for its use of perspective as well as chiaroscuro and sfumato (shadows and darkening of edges) since these techniques and many others were not used very often in art at the time. Also, there is a lot of mystery surrounding the portrait such as who Mona Lisa was, her relationship to da Vinci, what she is looking at in the painting, what she represents, etc.

one of my art teachers back in the day told our class that the reason why the mona lisa is so famous is not because of the lady but because it's one of the first paintings that uses perspective (in the background)

All of the leonardo´s painting are amazing, all of them got the same details, misterys, and etc. but this one got chosen because France had so much power on that time, and also they started to take care about monuments before that anyone in the world.

Luke's music channel is lukeconard and that song in the end is called Superhero. He wrote the song with Landon Austin. You probably don't know him if you're new. And yes, his voice is really great and his original songs amazing. He even has a song that he wrote for Ingrid :) I know you didn't ask any of this but I just thought you'd like to know :)

The Louvre used to be Napoleon's palace. Some of the rooms have been kept intact. It's really quite amazing! The pyramid in front of the Louvre was created by an American artist.

my favorite thing about the Mona Lisa is that if you look at it, and turn exactly 180degrees, the most breathtaking painting I have ever seen, Veronese's "The Wedding at Cana". It is by far the most beautiful painting of the Lord Jesus I have ever seen, and every day, hundreds of people just stand with their backs to it.

Im pretty sure the Mona Lisa is famous because no matter where you stand it looks like shes looking you straight in the eye. Paris looks beautiful!

Mona Lisa is always looking at You, it doesn't matter at what angle You're standing. I think that it's the most unique thing about this painting.

The Mona Lisa is famous for her smile and eyes. I've heard that the sfumato technique, which is like the smokey effect is an attraction too. There's also a lot of mystery and intrigue attached to her. Nobody knows exactly who she is either! And, of course, it's a Leonardo Da Vinci painting :)

One reason it's famous: it's a work of Leonardo Da Vinci and almost all of his work is revered in the art community. Another reason is because of the actual work in the painting. He structured Mona Lisa's body in the shape of pyramid, which was a fairly new concept. Da Vinci worked a lot with linear and aerial perception in his paintings. He was one of the first to create a realistic sitting portrait scene with Mona Lisa (I wrote a paper in 4th grade on Da Vinci to get into art club lol)
