Day trips from Edinburgh

5 ай бұрынHere are some cool day trips you can do while staying in Edinburgh, Scotland: check out Portobello beach, only 30 minutes away from Edinburgh city center, visit the Kelpies in Falkirk, tour Craigmillar Castle, Blackness Castle, and Doune Castle. Drive to Culross, a frozen in time village, as well as Falkland in the Kingdom of Fife for some fun Outlander film locations.

I live in Scotland! The kelpies are in Falkirk as far as I’m aware, (I don’t see them often) but they’re beautiful! I recommend you come see us!

Aberdeen and West Aberdeenshire are worth a visit. Aberdeen beach is much nicer than Portobello.

Would definitely not recommend it for a day trip. Far too much to see. Amazing geology, history, prehistory, wildlife hiking. @ourfamilyadventures_04
