Apparently a lot of people do! Just this week everyone has started to call him that! K-mydays thought we (I-mydays) called him that because it means "a very long time" but in reality we're just a bunch of crackheads and we call him yonk because it rhymes with bonk. hehehehehe

AHHH I HAVE SO MANY THINGS TO SAY ABT THIS - firstly, i think abt this everyday but sungjin is crazy for learning guitar in what?? 3 months before debut?? and he can do guitar solos, and even play the bass??? bruh 😭 - also 1:10 sungjin layering sweaters and like their merch tshirts? kinda weird to me ngl but its fine its sungjin and he looks extra cute here anyways :'))) - I AM DYING AT THE SPOILER MARKS SDHFSD - 3:05 jae sensei pls comeback - 3:58 whyd i never know this was a bass..i listened to this so much...🤡 - wonpil walking past the camera god reminds me of that one dowoon fancam at their concert of where hes doing the same thing FSKDFJ - 6:22 this look on youngk...im goNNA COMBUST - 8:07 i say this all the time too!!!! wonpil looks super tiny when he plays guitar im 🥺 how he be doing everything in tiny tho 😭 but fr tho ive always liked idol groups before but as ive become a myday ive become so much more appreciative of live music its crazy..day6 are just so talented its insane..😭 thank you so much for this video ❤❤❤ also if you do make a continuation would it be okay to include day6 playing toy instruments???i think its just so cool lol

Oh my gosh, thank you for your lovely comment ;-; Lemme answer it! haha - Sungjin is craaaazy dedicated! I admire this man for his many talents and his perseverance, wish I could be that strong! - I just noticed he's wearing three layers :o How cold must he have been! - Listen, I gotta do SOMETHING about them spoilers!! - Jae sensei is still here.. somewhere.. (Well he DID give us free vocal lessons on twitch the other day!!) - Now you know it's the bass! (But I mostly recognised it because 4 strings and it belongs to young k hehe) - I don't think I've ever seen that Dowoon fancam :o But Wonpil walking past the camera is secretly a metaphor for how he sneaked his way into my bias list hehehehe - That look on young k AND that guitar! haha - Wonpil is a very tiny man, I can put him in my pocket! So great to see you've discovered DAY6 and appreciate live music more because of it. These guys are insanely talented and definitely one of the best bands I've ever had the pleasure of seeing and hearing live! (They're so good, holy shit the clarity???!!) I wanna add more: ▪ Young K can play tamborine (in All Alone song), recorder (in Dingo). ▪ Wonpil can play shaker (in Lotte Duty Free CF), xylophone (in All Alone song), pianica (in radio show, etc.), MIDI (as DJ Wonpil in Gravity tour). ▪ Sungjin can play djembe. I know xylophone and pianica almost the same with piano/keyboard and djembe same with cajun. But its still different instruments right? ㅋㅋ

Ahhhh I'll add this to the list, If I can find enough footage I'll put it in part 2 ^^ I also have a few of the instruments you mentioned already on there hehehe. I think a xylophone and pianica (or melodica, same thing haha) are different enough! Hell, I put the keytar in and that's just a synth you can wear hahahaha Thanks for watching ^^

The one in All Alone is a Glockenspiel, not a Xylophone, it really isn't that big of a deal, it's still kinda the same instrument... the main difference is that a Xylophones material is wood and Glockenspiels is metal, again it's not a big deal tho cuz technically they're the same instruments just different in material and pitch.

I have always loved songs but I've recently developed an ear to appreciate the instruments behind it a little more. I'm no expert, so currently I'm just fascinated by how someone can learn all these. Day6 are multi-facetedly talented in this regard. Often times, I'm struck by how some of the bits from day6 tunes sound like. For example, Wonpil's Piano in I'll Try, Drums on Better Better, Synth on Be Lazy, Bass on You were Beautiful, Rythm & Lead Guitaring on Rescue me, I wait.

I really like listening to just the instruments too, every time I discover something new! Recently I've started noticing the drums and the synths a lot more (For drums; emergency, WARNING, for synths; I smile). I think it's what makes DAY6's music very enjoyable because it has so many layers with so many detail and attention to the instrumental! I wish we could get a proper live album because of that too :( Also thanks for watching ^^

@@TrialNd3rr0r Hey, I remember, in one of the Jae's clip, you mentioned, you were amazed at How Jae played bass. I love it too when Bass can be played melodically rather than for just rhythm. @@keysburntgucci9016 Oooh that was a really interesting video! There were many techniques I've never seen before on a bass used in there! I also started to notice in these past few days how I find songs with a more interesting bassline a lot more fun. I was reminded of a concert I went to earlier this year (before everything closed lol) of a band that didn't use the bass at all, and how much you miss it all of the sudden!

He learned the cajon pre-debut but due to the switchup in band positions three months beforehand he learned the guitar pre-debut as well in that short time! I think he learned the rest overtime ^^

the way that Jae plays the bass isn't actually that far off from earlier playing techniques for the bass guitar. In the early days, a lot of people played using their thumb and sometimes fingers which is why a lot of vintage bass designs have a tug bar or a thumb rest

Usually it is easier to play other instruments once you already master one. For example, if you have a phD in piano then most likely you will straight up have a degree in violin once you tried. But no kidding, they need a lot like A LOT of practice so huge respect for the members

It's difficult to master one already I think! I think it's really cool that, if they want to, they could just pick up each other instruments and go "so something like this" for band practice/songwriting purposes!

DAY6 has a motto that it will come to them, slowly but surely! They're a band so it works a little differently, but it's nice to watch them grow at their own pace! (I also like got7, I'm slowly getting into them, really enjoying breath RN! ^^)

Maybe if you wanna make part 2 for this video, you can add Young K play recorder/flute also. And don't forget Young K's pencil instrument when they did vlive Composer, Lyricist 2017 back then. Yeah, and other 'instruments' they played like tambourine, maracas, etc. Like heol- they can have a paper, a pen, a spoon, and other random stuffs and they can easily make a concert or an album with those

@@lidebrum2966 no, it is simply an 'instrument switch' in day6 to show their versality as a band. So if it shows brian on drum, for example, it could show just say, wonpil on bass , and thats spoilling the video since we're not into wonpil's section yet. Idk how to explain either, hope it helps :)

Thank you dearest for this video! I enjoyed it lots. The cuts from one clip to another are not harsh, you had a flash warning, the comments all around are very entertaining, each member got to shine and you even provided a source list. This is a dream of a compilation video. Edit: The 'acoustic guitar drummer' comment just knocked all the 'spoiler' censors from earlier of it's first position. This comment took me out, had to pause the video till I stopped laughing.

Wow, thanks for this. I haven't seen many of these clips. Way beyond educating us on their amazing versatility, you've put together a wonderful set of performance for us. It will take hours to go through all those videos. What a positive way to spend the last days of 2020...to take our mind off of other things.

Hi , love the video , as a learning musician or fellow guitarist , the way jay plays a bass is the normal way , the guitar and the bass are pretty similar musically in the way you play them , only difference is bass usually a four stringed instrument , with the same EADG strings just an octave lower
