The first time when I saw Valentine at night when I was playing the game I was blew away by the quality of the lighting

Walking around Valentine at nighttime is very different from the daytime as in the day in and around Valentine the businesses are open and customers are going in and out of town from the farms and ranches, The town is very lively and active.... But around sundown when the businesses are either closed or are about to close most stores and shops usually close down by six o'clock or by seven o'clock, the cafes usually by nine or ten o'clock and the doctors office by six unless of an emergency arises, the hotel usually closes and locks the door around ten, and the customers have gone home and the shop and store keepers have gone home and have retired for the night, the only business that's still open is the saloon and that is when the nights become rowdy, the sheriff has gone home for the night and has left a couple of deputies on duty one at the jail and right now no one serving time in the cells and the other Deputy is sitting out under the awning of the sheriff's department keeping an eye on the saloon up the street in case of any disturbances there but usually just some rumpot that's had to much, the saloon closes at ten o'clock and then after that all is closed for the night until eight o'clock the next morning.... Even after the businesses and especially the saloon closes for the night and the bartenders and barmaids have gone home, some of the customers hang around on the streets until they either go to the boarding house where most of them live and the others quietly sneak home trying not to wake up their families, by midnight the only people up are the deputies on night duty, but it's now starting to rain and all are are hopefully inside somewhere warm and dry because from the looks of those rainclouds it's gonna rain all night and tomorrow as well.... On the edge of town the night train goes through the valley countryside blowing its whistle and passing by the station and only stopping for water and with this rain falling there will be a lot of it, Valentine still has some wild people and some problems here and there but for the most part it is becoming more tamer than it used to be progress is what they call it, the most problematic elements to still work on is the drunks and the conmen, most of the outlaws and gunmen are either in the state prison doing some time or are in some cemetery doing a very lot of time, well that's about it I have a room at the hotel and I'll get some rest and early tomorrow morning even if it is still raining I'm headed out to the next town to take a look around so take care.
