I thought Days Gone would have a similar case to Ghost of Tsushima, which only has a framerate improvement to 60fps. However, there are some (small) changes to this game. The resolution remains identical to that of PS4 Pro (4K checkerboard), the drawing distance has been slightly increased and some models have increased their polygon size on PS5. The framerate is the most noticeable change, which stands at almost constant 60fps. The performance suffers a bit when we are riding a motorcycle in the most detailed areas and with the hordes of zombies. All in all, it's a great update for this game and a perfect time to pick up where I left off (if I ever have free time). Pensaba que Days Gone tendría un caso similar a Ghost of Tsushima, el cual sólo hay una mejora de framerate a 60fps. Sin embargo, hay algunos cambios (pequeños) en este juego. La resolución se conserva idéntica a la de PS4 Pro (4K checkerboard), la distancia de dibujado se ha aumentado ligeramente y algunos modelos han aumentado su poligonaje en PS5. El framerate es el cambio más apreciable, que se sitúa en 60fps casi constantes. El rendimiento sufre un poco cuando vamos en moto en las zonas más detalladas y con las hordas de zombies. En definitiva, es un gran update para este juego y un momento perfecto para retomarlo donde lo dejé (si es que algún día tengo tiempo libre).

60fps is the game changer for all the PS4 games on PS5 Despite being graphically the same it feels like a new game for some reason

This game was a amazing experience one of my favorite games I can't wait to play on ps5 again !

For anybody interested. I replaced my HDD with a Samsung v-nand SSD 860 EVO in my ps4 pro. This same initial load test with the digital ps+ version of Days Gone was 61 seconds.

I played this game originally on a PS4 Slim (in 2020, after the major patches had already dropped,) and I had some disappointing framerate issues, especially when dealing with hoards or driving into a new zone. I've been dying to replay it on PS5 and today I finally got the email from Walmart saying my order from a couple weeks ago has shipped.

I was blown away by this game on ps5. It looked awesome. Never played it on the ps4.

This game definitely worths a revisit on PS5 since on PS4, it has numerous frame rate issues which hinder a proper gaming experience. I’d recommend anyone who have not play this game to give it a go.

This game, and rdr 2, and the spiderman game are the only ones that I have played multiple times. There are great games out there but once I beat them they go on the shelf. These I keep coming back to them.

On my ps5 the ground keeps turning black and flickering. It started about a week after playing. I wiped the game and saves and cleared the cache in safe mode and also rebuilt the DB doesn’t run :(

Me acuerdo cuando me compre el juego de salida para mi ps4 slim y prácticamente no podía jugarlo xd, me pegaban unos bajones a 15fps y tenia tantos bugs que no podía jugar xd (literalmente en la parte en la que estas yendo en moto con boozer hacia lost lake había una carretera en la que no me cargaban las texturas y no me dejaba pasar y moría una y otra vez) menos mal que finalmente corrigieron la mayoría y pude sacarme el platino, pero asta que llegó ese momento me frustre demasiado.

The draw distance is surprisingly good, especially for an open world game on Unreal Engine 4. The only downside is the loading times; it doesn't seem to take full advantage of the SSD on PS5 but it's still a lot better than last gen. Also, a motion blur slider would have been nice to help smoothen out the frames.

1:50 I replaced my original ps4's hdd for a ssd. Am proud now. Mine standard ps4 loaded the game in 1min17s, faster than ps4 pro. Yeah, the diference isn't big, but I recommend switching if you can. You can fell it ingame on the transition loads.

Still scenes and frames on PS5 titles (be it crossover or not) look more like a slight upgrade than actual next gen. But that along with the load times, framerates, haptic feedback and adaptive triggers is what kinda sells the subtitle 'next gen'. Nothing like 8-bit to 16-bit to 3D, though.

Not much you can do to help visual performance on the ps4 but an ssd sure makes a difference with load times. Same goes for the pro. It's a cheap worthwhile upgrade especially if you can't get your hands on a ps5.

From 30 to 60fps we can notice the change in the quality of the gameplay since 60fps is what the human can mostly captured... But from 60fps above you will not be able to differentiate the difference that much.... But the higher the fps the better the the game will look....
