Thanks, there has been many changes to theses fill valves.nsomw have fixed caps, some rotate will holes. Welding a nut is extremely dangerous hence you never see this from any maufacture. You must take into consideration the pressure ratings your dealing with and welding a nut has now comprimised the structure integrity of the cylinder due to the heat stress on the material, also there wouldn't be enough thread unless you go 7mm or more. Even if you put a large weld bead on the nut and covered the cylinder widely with weld your still only welding to a 2mm thickness cylinder. I'm sure it's held pressure and it's working for you and I don't mean to offend you in any way. However I would be extremely worried about this. You could have machined an internal fitting with seals that the gauge could thread into without damaging the cylinder. Something like an aluminium bar with seals on each end a centre hole al the way through and a thred in the middle.

@@airrifletech8085 thanks for your reply.i agree it could be dangerous way to go for a pressure gauge.however the work was over seen by a hydraulics engineer and he was perfectly happy with quality and size of the nut and weld.(would advise just anyone to have a go for safeties sake).Ithink it was about a 12mm nut,it wasn't something you'd buy from a hardware store,it was really deep, i had to specially order it specially so i could shape it to be flush to begin with of the contour of the cylinder and still have a decent amount of thread on.your latter idea i think would go well on FX cyclone as you can either have a gauge or a reg not both(with a non breather hole version),your way your could have both.which really brings me to this question.do you think or is it necessary to have a breathe hole if you have a reg fitted?does the huntsman you worked on have one?cheers,Dave

sorry i forgot to say,the air cylinder on an FX cyclone is aluminium and i cant alloy weld that.the MK3 it's steel.

Hi Air Rifle Tech. I've got a non regulated Regal XL on its way. I will be fitting a Lane reg. Just wondering if you are making the gauge block/quick fill unit for the reservoir to sell. Like you say, I won't know if my air is low until the regulated pressure drops. My only option is to shoot a shot string, find out when velocity drops, then in future count every shot. Your kit would be a great addition to a brilliant gun. Looking forward to hearing from you. IGK (UK based).

Parts are machined in house. Gauge came direct from Wika (bulk order)

Gary Billington the regulator don't effect the stock but the gauge is 25mm diameter so the inletting for gauge hole on the stock has to be inlarged

111 on the fill valve piston. 118 behind the solenoid on end cap

@@airrifletech8085 i was told fill valve main piston uses 006 o ring..is that correct?i have a huntsman classic which has leaked air through the fill port.have ordered the 006 o rings though in a previously ordered o ring kit i have 02 o rings of 111 size with me .where is the solenoid exactly in the huntsman..can u please tell me.also can u be kind enough to confirm whether 117 size o rings are the 4 o rings whcih are mounted on the front valve body(2 here) and the valve housing(2 here)?

Goat Mendez the seal is removed were the cylinder screws onto the action.

Goat Mendez the two seals on the action are removed allowing the reg to vent, in the video it shows them left in place, this was just a quick video to show how it goes together, this will be removed during final assembly
