Overall, always remember to save nd invest minimum of 30% of your take home salary. Do not take money back policies or LIC policies. Always remember two formulas:- 1) Insurance is not investment. 2) First save, then spend.

I preferred LIC because they dont cheat in payment of lumpsum amount in case of death. I feel, if the lumpsum is not paid, there is no point in saving the pennies in monthly premiums. Especially, general financial knowledge of dependents is low. if the insurance company comes with hidden terms and conditions, they cannot fight.
