Synopsis:
"Daywalker: Blade Origins" is a fan film based on the origins of Marvel Comics’ Blade. Flashbacks show a feral young Eric Brooks (Kal El Smith) who encounters a Vampire Hunter by the name of Jamal Afari (Michael Monteiro). Eric unites with Afari who eventually becomes his mentor and trainer. Years later, an older Brooks (Byron Smith), who now knows he is part Vampire and part Mortal, joins a gang of Vampires known as the "Bloodshadows" led by Cyrus Cutter (Markiss McFadden). Brooks battles with the vampires including bad girl Lamia (Moorea Wolf) who has her own agenda for the Daywalker Brooks. Out of all of the Bloodshadows, one particularly catches Brooks's eye-- Glory Anah (Lamorae Siggal)-- girlfriend of Cyrus. The two share hidden feelings for each other. With so much at stake, Brooks fights his way to ultimately become the hero better known as “Blade.”

Finally someone who gets that being Blade is not imitating Wesley Snipes but bringing your own interpretation as an actor. Didn't like the killing of the teacher but still 💙💙💙💙💙💙❤❤🔥

Blade is cool. He’s like a black wolverine. I hope he joins the avengers. To bring a supernatural element to the stories.

He's not a "black" version of anyone else. He's an original. And as a matter of fact, Blade was created BEFORE Wolverine....so if anything Wolverine would be a "white" version of Blade.

Slow burning. Intense. Obvious skills in-front and behind camera. Will be interesting to see more as everyone's skill sets develop with time and additional experience. Would be nice to also see new story lines that further and strengthen the legacy.

This is really some cool stuff, ever since the piracy laws were started, you used to be able to hit the mini cons and find fan made jewels like this. I miss those days.

The term "fan film" did not prepare me for the high production values. The first mentor segment was what hooked me. However the actors playing Eric and Cyrus should have been reversed. This was an amazing effort that I will recommend to all my "Blade" fans. Glory Anah was a great casting choice who stole every scene she was in. Thanks for this.

The term "fan film" is misleading. These short remakes of Hollywood movies are made by independent movie producers and actors . The people making these films arent simply fans. They've been to film school

Not so bad.....You get to the point! Story, costumes,lights, choregraphy, frames, picture quality, ...every thing 's pro, acting too of course, very pleasant to watch....

That was a fantastic fan movie, I haven't seen a great story from Blade like that in a long time, it was amazing seeing the whole story you have created in this version with a lot of references to his comics and other Marvel related lore, I loved it, congratulations to all the people involved with this project!

Wow, For a fan film I can tell they did a good deal of research on Blade, not to many movie fans even know his name is Erick Brooks! I love Westley Snipes, but for this to only be fan made... Amazing job! I love the heart of the story and the fact that we have more to look forward to as far a the evolution of Erick Brooks ! The Cast all did well and it was filmed just as well! I can't wait to see where this can go from here! Great job on an Origins of Blade! I love the vision this team at Hidden Vault Films has. Keep it coming ! This should be a show for Netflix and I know with a budget they can go all out!

Ayyyeeee ran into Bryon Smith at the Vegas Avengers Museum a little over a week ago! Had to test his Marvel knowledge...he passed lol. Excellent work bro. Love your take on Blade. Great effort by the whole crew. I know how hard it is to make a film. "Half Wakandan!!!"

This was very well done! Thought I was actually watching a straight to DVD movie! Vampire teeth, actors, ect..was great. Actually better than most of the (fan) horror mini movies,. Looking forward to seeing more.

Wow, the old guy just sneaks behind Eric, even after seeing he picked up the sword. He heard his name called... why, aside from plot, would he do that? What in the world was he trying to do? Doesn't he know what death of loved ones do to protagonists? lol Was that his intention to make his "training" complete? 24:24... what is it called when a person repeats the same information back to the first person who first said it? How do you answer a question by stating you know the answer? Example: "How did you learn about colors"? "I can identify colors". 30:10 translated (I call upon the writers to protect meeeeee). Why did everyone stand outside watching knowing the sun was rising? Thanks for sharing. That was cool. It's hard for me to see anyone other then Wesley Snipes as Blade and what he brought to the character.

It is great to see the cult following is still alive! For if it weren't for the fans, we would never see any new works. Marvel Studios owns Blade, and Disney owns Marvel Studios. Even if Marvel reboots it, PG-13 Blade will NEVER do!!!

That was a GOOD Blade reproduction and for all the haters that didn't like it they're just mad that they couldn't do something cool like that. The icing on the cake was the wolverine appearance.👍

The concept the story for the short is great fight choreography is a little shaky and there isn't much plot here but for the talent and budget you had available this is still wildly entertaining overall. The director has a bright future ahead of them
