I know I didn't do any cool trickery in this video, but I wanted to see if I could find any friendlies at a military base. Since it has the worst reputation, I chose the northwest airfield as the location.

Nice encounters ! I like your experiments. When I play dayz and I don't have any gun or I'm fresh-spawn, I sometimes put my hands up and walk straight into a group of other players - just to test whether they shoot me or not.

+Coday - DayZ Gameplay German glutton for punishment? Haha. But yeah I've done the same, hands up, direct chat "i'm friendly and unless you want a can of beans don't kill me". I guess lots of people like beans :/ I did have a funny encounter at the NWAF when I was loaded up with military gear and basically stepped on a gillie suit soldier. He asks if I'm friendly, I turn to the side, do the friendly dance and speak on direct chat. He asks for anti-biotics. I tell him nope sorry bro and start leaving. Boom, headshots me. I was pretty angry for a solid 7 minutes until I realized my mic was muted :(

Not sure if u still watch comments on old videos but i met a good friend on NWAF. and it was even WHILE i was fighting. he hopped into the fight and we fought together in a random encounter.When it was over we hopped on TS even alt-tabbing behind him as a sign of trust and we still hop on DayZ sometimes.

Man I used to dress in paramedic outfit with no gun and got shot 9 out 10 times upon contact wherever I wnet, not to mention trying actually heal or feed anyone... Once got jumped and cuffed, died on receiving 5 units of 0- blood bags. Such a waste...

Its a shame i cant find any good servers like this one, i gave up on day z long ago due to the fact that every single time i tried to talk to someone, i just get shot. After 141 hours of playing Day z i have only killed 3 people... I just want a good, role-playish server.

Get on private servers, underground is good. But just fyi, any dayz server you play on youre very likely to get shot on sight, even servers that forbid it.... Your best bet is to only try and communicate after scoping them out for a while, seeing how many people in group etc.. And your best chance of a friendly encounter is to announce yourself when somebody's I'm a vulnerable place, for example if you obviously had a chance to kill somebody but you walk up and say hello, alot of people will notice that you had a chance to kill them but didn't, always keep on edge though because those same people could turn around and shoot you in face
