I started out in early 2015. I remember sniping bambi's and geared players in Elektro and Cherno with the mosin when it had the long range scope. Good old days.

@@nhifuu coastal pvp was a big thing back then. Cherno and Elektro were a lot smaller too, so they were hotspots. You could also get pretty decent gear on the coast too.

@@pizzapozz7733 Yeah hated those glitchy zombies. Like when they were cahsing you and you ran into a house and closed the door an they would just Phase thur the fucking door. Or youd get glitched in the doors. MR Moon and syndicate was also runnign around back then

played 0.62 a year ago. Was nostalgic about it, but when I started playing, the game felt HORRIBLE. it was clunky as hell. I'd never wanna go back to that.. holy was that bad. The game felt like your character was constantly in the mud. you couldn't even turn properly while standing, walking uphill, sway was unbearable as well. Not to mention desync and everything else. I would love some better shooting animations and some tiny bit of weapon innertia in the current dayz, also some ragdolls would be nice, but if it's killing server performance, I'm fine without it.

I played the 0.62 too! It was my first time playing because I was too young back then. Finally having a grasp at these old mechanics that I watched during all my childhood on twitch was a blast. But yeah just like you said, much more clunky. Im glad bohemia didnt give up on this masterpiece that dayz is. Im proud of the team

When they added console to dayz aka the player controller took out so much content an futures from the game kinds ruined it in alot of ways. The old movement and aiming where way better and more realistic but they adjusted everything for that damn player controller

For one reason or another, i no longer play with the people in these clips anymore. If you read the outro text it makes more sense. So it's the end of an era for me.

@@IEatBooty4MyDepression because it’s arcade as f()ck. And is more akin to cod than it originally started. As a hardcore survival simulator. Now it’s just a point and click shooter with no ounce of difficulty

@LakevusParadice im new so i wouldnt know what the old build is like, but official seems pretty hardcore. Im extremely good at shooters and i struggled my booty off trying to wrap my head around all the mechanics at first, i even avoided "+" servers cause i wanted that official experience. I died of sickness, starvation, and zombies before i ever died at military bases lol. Once i got good at the survival part i started to prefer to hunt for my food, honestly day z is amazing to me. Theres really nothing like it, especially as a solo player. Now a days i can wipe squads by myself, but ill never forget the journey i took and the struggle i had to "get good" One of my greatest memories was getting shot in the legs, and having to kill 3 people on a broken leg, and then having to get out of the military base unharmed so i could tend to it. To be fair, a lot of people build bases and that really defeats the purpose. I never build bases for the same reasons yall are complaining, i want every death to make me start over. No easy guns or equipment. Players really abuse having a base, especially the dupers.
