I loved the Looney tunes cartoons as a kid here in Australia in the 1960s and 70s. Actually as a 60 year old I still love their comedy, genuinely funny and clever! RIP Mr Mel Blanc - legend.

Great interview Jordan! It's clear that Noel adored his father and that Mel was an extraordinary man. So many inside entertainment stories too, loved the whole thing and Noel seemed so inviting and positive.

This was an incredible interview about a man who should never be forgotten..what a talent he had. I met Mel Blanc once when I was a kid and will always have that memory. Thanks to Noel and his wife for opening the house to you. Great videos!

I spent many happy hours in the 1960s at cartoon cinemas that used to be in London. My love of warner brothers cartoons comes from that time. Thank you Jordan, these vlogs were a real treat.

Oh my GOD! You totally knocked it out of the park with this one! As a native Portlander, I’ve heard all about his years here, the radio show and all of it. The station he was on is long gone, but those of us who are old enough to know remember the PDX connection. A note about Mel’s on-screen credit: Stan Freberg always resented that when he did voices on the toons with Mel, only Mel got the credit! It was in his contract! Freberg did Pete Puma and several others. Anyway, GREAT VIDEO!!!

Wow!!! He kept the Merc! Noel used to show the ‘49 (with the flames) at the Pomona Car Show around 1990, it’s beautiful! He had such an amazing collection at one time...when he lived in BH he had an Edsel parked in front of his house...hilarious! Waiting for Part 3, 4, 5, 6.....

Hi Jordan, well, so lovely to hear more wonderful stories from his son. I really, really like to photos in the bathroom with all the stars and his family, the one of The Hollywood Canteen was my favourite. Really enjoy these vlogs on Mel and Noel Blanc. So many interesting stories and people. The cars are gorgeous! Mel’s death was such an unforeseen tragedy. Noel and his wife sound like such nice people. I’m so happy they invited you out again. Thanks Jordan! What a great vlog today!

Noel is a real down to earth person well grounded old school, the new Hollywood should take notice on how to be gracious. My childhood was Bugs, Jetson’s, Flintstones, all the old Looney Tunes . Great Job again Jordan

Just love Mel Blanc so much, bought the whole Loony Tunes collection some years back for my partner for their Christmas present, pure magic. Was trying to think of anyone else with the skills for voice that Mel had and the only one I could think of was Daws Butler, another voice giant who mostly worked for Hanna Barbera. Had very little knowledge of Noel Blanc, but thanks to your vlog Jordan I will place him up there with his dad in regard to his talent and again thanks Jordan, one of the most interesting vlogs yet and it was interesting what he said about Shelly as well, I myself never heard anything I would consider negative about her. Cheers-Dan!

Oh boy, it was worth the wait for part 2 and I will be looking forward to your return to hear more stories. Beautiful place and those cars were amazing! The best was his stories about his Dad and all the stars I grew up with. It gave me a peek into their lives and that is something special. So, thank you so much for one of your best and am looking forward to your next meeting with him. I loved seeing Jah. Thank you again for bringing back all those old super stars and giving me a glimpse of what they did. I just loved this!!!

Fantastic vlog. I loved the Warner Bros cartoons when I was growing up in Texas during the 1960s and I still do to this day. Todays cartoons just don,t have the panache that the classic cartoons had. That's all folks !

Mel Blanc, terrific gentleman! Wonderful Family, he wasn't paid what he was worth and he made the studio's millions. Injustice again in Hollywood! Glad he moved to Nevada, and built his home on Lake Tahoe!
