Oh this is so great Jordan. I actually saw Marty Robbins in concert many years ago. Though I am more of a rock guy who listens to the Ramones and Blondie and X, I also love old country music and I thought Marty Robbins had an incredible voice. I'm so glad I got to see him in concert. Great vlog!

Marty had a lot of music talent. He also loved to race cars. He had several heart attacks. The first was in 1969 and in 1970 he was either the first or one of the first who had a successful triple bypass surgery. Ultimately it was his heart that took him in 1982. Loved that pain shop. Seems more like an oddity museum!

El Paso was the first song my sister taught me to play on guitar...I was 5 years old...and still have the guitar ( it was made in the late 60' s...I was made in 70...lol). This is an awesome pawn shop/ museum! I'll have to put that on my bucket list...great vlog!

I just recently found your channel. And as I was bingeing I came across this vlog. Which is amazing considering I am from El Paso. It’s great to see you passed through here. Ps i have lived here all my life and I have never been to that pawn shop/museum. I need to make a trip.

I can sing every world to this song.. I know it by heart. When it came my time to come up on stage to sing it at karaoke the guy handed me the mic and I took it and sat down at my table with my friends. The song came on and I sang this Word for Word and got up at the end for the finale and my whole table cheered and then all the patrons thought it was the actual Marty robins singing while the intermission was happening with the karaoke guy in the bathroom

We had street cars in Kansas City, MO when I was little. Rode them many times with my mom and grandmom. My mom was a hug country music fan so i grew up listening to Marty Robbins, Hank Sr. and all of the old country singers. That one head looked like the creature from the black lagoon, lol. 12:04 is a classic “Fiji Mermaid” you’d find in most traveling circuses. I even saw one as a kid in the ‘80’s. PT Barnum may have been the first huckster to feature them... essentially it’s a monkey’s upper half attached to a fish tail.

A couple of years ago there was a dramatic cable series called "The Bridge" that took place in Juarez/El Paso - guy and gal detectives, from each side of the border. First several episodes were great - then not so good. Terrific haunting theme music. Is there a bridge between the two cities?
