wow I can imagine the poor guy went through as a kid. yep there can be cruel kiddos out there . he sounded like a very sweet and humble young man, sad that he passed away at such a very young age . I've never seen a picture of his funeral till now wow that many people as pallbearers . thanks Jordan for this hope there can be a museum in the future.

You must be of the modern era ilk. There wasn't bullying back then, in fact tall kids were idolized by their fellow students. I went to school during that era.

Great tribute, man most of his family passed very young. Robert was far too young the poor boy. His family sounded like a very good family. 5ft in kindergarten, he would have out grew me during kinder. being that tall, he would have had health issues, and most likely pain not to mention idiots kicking him in the legs the poor kid. My bother in law is 6 foot 9 inches and it caused him health issues. Alton looks like a nice little town. May Robert and his family rest in peace.

Hi Jordan, oh, what a true gentleman in every sense of the word. It's so very, very sad that such a kind man passed away at such a young age. I like that photo of Robert in the town with all the people, you can see he was just a regular guy to everyone in that. I love that statue of Robert looking out of his house, that made me smile. Glad you got to go inside his old school and see some original bits of it. Great vlog Jordan.

Scott is an amazing story teller as well as you Jordan, the best part is you both tell great stories with facts and you both do your homework so well. The wealth of information you two have together is why you two are my favorite duo’s! Great vlog. I first learned of Robert as a child when I went to the Empire State Building on a school trip and saw his full sized statue at the Ripley’s believe it or not.

Happy to see a tribute to this gentle giant. It’s harder to find a positive in your situation or to just be a happy go lucky person than it is to be angry at your situation or just be a pissy person. He took the higher road and it’s nice to know that even when the kids would pick on him, he didn’t hold it against them. Sure do wonder what kind of a lawyer he would have been. Thanks for this vlog Jordan! Keep on being you!! 🦴🐾❤️

This was an amazing video. I live a few miles from the location of his grave. I am planning a Robert Wadlow video myself soon for my Travel Vlog. Yes. you had it right, his family did bury his casket in cement, fearing people would try to dig him up and take parts of him for various reasons, hence why there is a mound on his grave. Wish I knew you were in town, I wouldve loved to join you in this and give you more of a tour of the area. This town is full of History.

The average height for a man in the USA today is around 5 feet 9 inches tall, so a six foot tall man is above average height, 7 feet tall man is considered a giant, so to be nearly 9 feet tall like Robert Wadlow is just astounding. I know that he was still growing up until he died, so if he had lived just a bit longer, he almost certainly would have officially reached over 9 feet tall.

Very cool video I did not know he passed away so young I had thought he was in his 40's. The cement on the coffin could be true or a mistaking a common practice. As it is not uncommon for caskets to be in a cement fault. The cemeteries in my area have done this for several decades on all burials. So I could see someone not knowing that and thinking it was something exclusive. It has also however been done to take a cement vault and pour cement inside it's entirety over the coffin when concern over theft or tampering is likely.
