A few people here are saying the DB Dinobot is more accurate to the show model, but why? Mangmotion goes in great detail to show how the TA version is far more accurate in this very video. DB has the more accurate leg size, a thinner waist, larger raptor head, more menacing robot expression, and maybe a broader chest, but that's it really. Not knocking on DB's design (it looks badass), but it seems more stylized, or has taken inspiration from the original Transmetal II Dinobot toy from years back, as suggested in the video. TA is more show accurate in terms of intricate details all over the figure, like the shoulder armor, robot head, robot head size, raptor neck, raptor blades on the back, limbs, tail, and weapon. Small things that wouldn't even be noticed at first without constant comparisons to the show model. Its proportions are still spot on for the most part, the blue reflection on the pearl white is accurate, the weapon is the right size, and even down to the kibble management is how it was in the show, which is especially the case for the raptor mode. There are other things, but I can't list them all. While I prefer the scarier look of DB's robot face, the TA one's face is still accurate to several shots from the show. Honestly, if the TA had an alternate head with a more menacing expression like the DB version, it would be damn near perfect.

TA is the clear winner just looking at the transformation

It’s obvious from the video that TA has the better beast mode, transformation and articulation, but DB’s robot mode looks more like the cartoon overall, especially in the waist and the shoulders 🤩

I do like that you pointed out that TA has 10 or so releases so they are a sort of veteran and know how to make figures. Where is DA is a newcomer. I do hope DA learns a lot and make even better figures. More options are good. TA is my go-to for Beastwars. They do a really good job for most of them. But as in agreement with everyone else, more articulation would be great if the figures allow it and keeps it stable.

Great review! I like some parts of DB more like the bigger Dino head, the thinner waist, and robot eyes, but TA just feels like a better product; better transformation, solid joints, and less QC problems.

TA. And I really like how it's directly on scale with the original masterpiece Dinobot toy. And there are multiple things that I like about the TA version especially the part in which it's no top-heavy like the DB version and I really like that as well. Especially if he was meant to stand upright looking directly down on his prey/enemy. Also the DB version is WAY to fiddly.

The DB release honestly looks like it's a nightmare to transform...

The DB figure feels like it would make a better show piece where as transarts feels like it would make a better play piece, like something to fiddle with.

Great video comparing the 2. Hey Mangmotion, since you have contact with these companies, can you PLEASE tell Transart to give us better articulation on their figures? I understand for some designs, it's hard, but take TM2 Cheetor. I refuse to believe they couldn't give that figure elbow and knee bends over 90 degrees. 90 degree bends are for Hasbro CHUG figures, not an MP scale figure like this. I see so many of their figures could have much better articulation, but they just refuse to give us.

DB has better show accuracy design to beast wars itself where as to TA has better looking paint and forearm proportions. Guess it’s the persons choice on what they prefer .

What does DB stand for again?

Brooooooo there is no comparison because Transart wins this by a landslide! DB is just far too complex, I even started laughing when you started the transformation sped up and then sped it up further knowing it takes ages🤣 The most of Transart is just a couple of folds for the chest and the dino head but pretty easy and it looks fantastic.
