@@pizzatime9175 when bubba got to DBD he was 1) EXTRAMLY rushed because they had to prioritize Nightmare on Elm street 2) he realsed during the time BHVR and DBD were still a pretty small indie game with an indie studio. I'm not saying it's amazing or whatever, he definitely could use an update but taking into account these 2 points I think they did pretty good. Bubba might have the most iconic walk in dbd just from how funny it looks

​@@AxyierlLeatherface was released when DbD was under Starbreeze. They weren't indie, but more like underpaid studio compared to something like Overkill with it's Payday 2, which was and still is under SBZ.

His animations feel a lot like what he does in the movie too. Like the run he does in DBD is almost exactly the way he runs in the film as he’s chasing Sally.

Bubba in TCM looks better than in the video when you add the shadows, blood on his outfit from kills, and the game environment.

That’s the entire point of the game. It’s supposed to be faithful from the source material. DBD looks like they pulled some random artist and said give me a Leatherface design

Yes he does. Bubba can use the chainsaw attack on dropped pallets to break them in DBD.

@@pewienczlowiekag3111 that’s the basic pallet break. He has a different animation for when he uses his chainsaw to break pallets, usually during his chainsaw swing. He leans over quickly to lower his chainsaw into the pallet.

Popular, yet wrong

Ok lemme tell you why, idle animations are so similar i cant tell u anything abt those, but tcm chainsaw sounds are such a huge downgrade. Dbd sounds like a killing machine, tcm sounds like an old lawnmower. For running, dbd bubba shows much more character, appearing more childlike (cuz bubba is a kid mentally) while tcm looks like a grandpa struggling to hold his damn chainsaw. For the chainsaw sprint, dbd is just SO much better. Dbd bubba looks like he wants to fucking rip you to pieces, swinging his 50kg death machine around like its nothing, tcm looks like he is struggling not to trip (and again, the sound is a massive downgrade). Dbd bubba's tantrum makes him actually angry, tcm looks like scary teacher with that weird ass animation. The base attacks i will not compare cuz they use different weapons, but i do like that tcm uses chainsaw. The executions are also the same thing, but tcm has a sound downgrade.

@@zzz-ovidiu2015It also makes more sense that bubbas chainsaw sounds that way because that’s the original he used in the 1974 movie. A Poulan 306a, it is a medium sized chainsaw and has a smaller engine. This shows that naturally, his chainsaw isn’t glowing the rape your ears like the DBD version.

You described it perfectly, I'd also add the lighting, TCM has beautiful lighting and they use it on leatherface to look right. This video has him fullbright and it doesn't do him justice

I haven't played TCM but I have played a lot of dbd, and you haven't experienced true terror until you've gone up against a Bubba player using Insidious on Lery's. That and Ghostface/Myers players is some of the most fun you can have in dbd.

It's just another person after all, and if your good enough at survivor, you can outsmart them. Meanwhile, TCM seems to focus a lot more on the horror aspect. TCM is a straight horror game intended to be scary, and dbd is a strategy game that is occasionally scary. As many people say that dbd is a horror game, it just really isn't. Of course, I would need to actually play TCM to 100% confirm this, but I've watched a few of my friends play it.

They watched the movie, not researched. He didn't tantrum, he was pissed off more likely. The run looks like he's holding in a turd when in the movie he full on belts it. He never cries in the movie and in fact even laughs when hooking Pam. They took the movie at face value when there is so much beneath the surface.

They also focus way too much on the 2nd film when in his lore he was taken at the end of the 1974 original. 'Bubba' is a perfect example of this, his name is Leatherface in the original.

both games ran on the same engine ue4 with dbd now running on ue5.3 as far as i know and TCM still 4.21 so basically TCM has the ancient engine now

Oh, they removed it in order to quicken the pace. It used to happen on previous versions.

Think it was removed when they changed the animation when you slammed a door on him. Before he fell flat on his back, got up, then shook around. Now he only flinches.

It wasn’t removed and you still can see it after being stunned by electricity panel.

Well the tcm model does look scarier and better in game since all the atmospheric lightning and why the hell does the thing leatherface wears clip so much into his leg like that doesn’t happen in neither game at all
