Not really the damage but more of, he has consistency in keeping a combo going. Imagine if that point character had huge blue health and he raw tagged him out, in an attempt to recover. The fact that baby can still keep it going after a late vanish, that's a snapback in what was supposed to be a drop, in my book.

You can safe jump the tech and then wait to punish him when he touches the ground he was just too slow on the punish. Someone actually found an os for it a while ago

@@HaiRune You really can't. Unless you're overdosing on Speed. By the time he comes out with the wake-up it's already to late to react. Your best bet is to "try" to guess what he's gonna do on wake up. If you jump n block and he does the wake-up tech, it's HIS turn for another 5mn after he hits your block

You just safe jump and 2h if he does the dp tech. or you can grab if you play a character with an anti air grab. if you end up blocking it then you just wait until he either is about to touch the ground or does something else unsafe like counter super or vanish. he has to cancel the dp tech almost immediately after blocking otherwise he is stuck in recovery. It's not too difficult to deal with you just have to get used to it

@@brolylegendaryssj that's the thing. The fear. All the things you've said are valid but then the guessing game becomes too much. Say he didn't wakeup tech and mashes instead. You've lost your turn. Or they don't wakeup tech and stare at you. You try to take your turn but then 214H that's a 4 frame reversal happens. You've lost your turn. Or simply what just happened in the time stamp I posted. The point is that there are so many things to expect that it becomes Rock paper scissors. Clearly, even top players have this trouble. Don't get me wrong, it's not too say the UI players are getting carried or the move can't be punished, it's just the things that come as a result
