In a sense, thats tekken as well since they use a best of 6 system. Only difference is with tekken, you're fighting the same character for the next few rounds.

Kaioken should cost Base Goku some health. In canon it's THE move that harms you when you use it. Odd only Tien shoulders that burden. Also Kaioken is a really powerful move in this game so a tiny nerf like that wouldn't hurt anything.

At 0:59, why/how can baseku mash 2L and beat Cell's overhead? Was it a bad timing from Cell's meaty that baseku simply react to perfectly?

It’s a safe jump basically even if baseku did kiaoken he can block it if he decides not to mash it’s an overhead for cell players usually do this to bait raw level 3
