Why was the treaty of tordesillas penned? It’s goal was to prevent large scale conflict between Spain and Portugal over territory across the globe and facilitate a more efficient Catholicization of the globe and its many people.

Another aspect of the DBQ I struggle in is evidence to support the claim from the document. How can I do this more efficiently to not take up ~10 minutes per document?

Can someone explain what he was taking bout after he said he wrote it to mark the civil war as a end to slavery. I’m kinda lost on the way he worded it and i have a apush test in like a month

I think he meant it in the way that end goal of ending the civil war changed. Before, if I remember correctly Lincoln wanted to bring the nation back together no matter what. So I believe Lincoln saw that the end of slavery is what will save the nation. And also Great Britain had outlawed slavery, so they wouldn’t help the south anymore now that it was clear, that the union was pro abolitionist
