The first time it's played is during the Garlic JR saga. It's played again during the Cell Saga, during Gohan's fight against the Cell JR's. It's also played briefly during Goku's fight against Kid Buu, I think.

Teen Gohan SSJ2 is the best character in the series...So cold! And as a True saiyan he played with his target, knowing that his own power was far greater than that of Cell. Never loosing focus, perfect poker-face all the time. Loved how he acted as SSJ2 in the cell saga.

People know this song as Gohan vs Frieza, cause it played the very first time when Gohan disobeyed Goku and went back to help him against Frieza in the episode Gohan Returns. He doesnt beat him or really even fight, he just distracts him so that Goku could get a little rest. In reality the song is generally just GOHAN'S THEME, because it plays every time Gohan is winning a big fight.

@Damocles178 you're actually correct. this song was never used during the Frieza fights. the song everyone else is referring to is actually the DBZ theme song (watch the fight and listen closely). this song was first used when Gohan killed 2 of Garlic Jr's henchmen and its called "Gohan Fights Frieza" because the guy who made it couldn't think of a title so he slapped this one on and stuck with it

@ilikewoodenclogs Actually Kid Gohan was epic as well. If you remember, as a kid: he injured Raditz and gave Goku and Piccolo an edge, he blew up a large hill when Piccolo threw him at it, he held off Vegeta by himself while Goku gave Krillin the spirit bomb( becuase they were both too weak or injuried to do so). As well as fought both Recoome by himself and fought Frieza solo( twice). Sounds pretty epic to me.

Gohan was a fucking beast whenever he took his thumb out of his mouth and manned up. But then he was also cocky as fuck and could have ended cell sooner without Goku dying, as well as defeating buu.

Think about it like this. Gohan was FIVE when he was fighting Frieza. A five year old slinging Ki attacks, flying around at incredible speeds, and SURVIVING a drawn out fight with Frieza. At five years old Gohan was several THOUSAND times stronger than his father as a young adult.

@MrSasoriDeidara Yeah.One of the movies he got super pissed because Salt and Vinegar started playing with Krillin's unconcious body.Literately.Then they kicked him off the lookout and started attacking Gohan.He flipped out and blew those fuckers to hell.
